The holiday season gift set images and news are rolling out and there's a lot of fab new Advent calenders.

 Target joins in with Twelve Days Of Beauty. This set features little gems from some of their best selling brands and will be available on Nov. 5th at Target.com for $ 24.99

Target Goes Plaid With Adam Lippes

I love plaid . I love when it's on trend as  there is so much more to pick from, but I wear it  whether it's "in" or not. One of my fav late winter buys was a pair of pointy Kors plaid and leather flats.  Anything plaid catches my eye  and this fall Target is enabling us plaid fans in a major way.

Beginning in August they will roll out a store wide plaid bonanza across most departments and a collab with designer Adam Lippes for a buffalo plaid line. While I prefer my plaid full on tartan, buffalo works too and I like Lippes work. I've been fortunate enough to attend one of his shows, and generally like his collections. 

The photo gives us a sneak peek and I am checking out that handbag and faux fur vest.

We're taking a short detour today, to the food aisle. Not just any aisle , but the holiday food one.  Target's lookbook landed last week  & it's where I went first.

Laneige, Borghese, 29 by Lydia Mondavi at Target

Online now and in stores beginning March 1st, Target will stock a nice assortment of higher end skincare including cult Asian brand Laneige.

Also on shelves will be Borghese  and 29 by Lydia Mondavi.  I  think Borghese may have been the 1st high end skincare I used thanks to a sample set give to me. I was a teen so I didn't need it exactly but I sure had fun playing with it. 29 brings wine and all it's antioxidants to skincare and includes a Wine Blot Lip Balm that I might have to have.

Additionally well loved but not to easy to find  brands Vichy and La Roche Posay will be stocked.  Find your top of the line SPF fix there.

Neutrogena Acne Fighting Tips & Free Wristlet Promo

Neutrogena has put together some fun .gifs to bust acne  myths and help you get clearer skin. Here we see what blackheads really are. Kinda yuck , right ? I know, I have plenty.

Target Fall Fashion 2012

Target has released the images for their fall lines collections. Mossimo, Merona and more. I have to say, I haven't a seen a group of items this good from them in awhile. Not that I don't love Target , I surely do, but I've got my eye on a lot of pieces from fall.

 You might notice my  preference for plaids and leopard here, as they show up in many of my favs.   Fall staples in my opinion.   There is also what looks to be a really pretty, polished peplum dress. With sleeves. I may have to sit down, wait I am sitting. Sleeves make me so happy.  And  a fab tan trench. Everyone needs a trench and $ 49.99 makes it much more affordable.

These will begin to hit stores in early August, will rollouts all month into mid -September.

Scent Bar for Target

Scent Bar is the LA bricks and mortar store outpost of  the amazing online niche perfume website Luckyscent.com . Luckyscent is a  main go to for anyone who  seriously loves fragrance. They have  almost all of the harder to find , well crafted lines  you could want like Heeley, Francis Kurkdjian, Serge Lutens and more.  They also carry home fragrance.

  The people behind Scent Bar/Luckyscent have now partnered with Target  to release their own  line of Scent Bar bath and body products later this month. There are 4 scent choices and 4 product types.  And while the perfumes  mentioned above can be very pricey, all of the  Target line is under $10.

Naturally I went right for the citrus based Sunswept and then the tropical Cabana. Both smell really nice. Sunswept is for us citrus lovers.  Very orange  with a little of the bergamot so that it's not simply fruit. Thankfully they didn't feel the need  to add musky  notes or the like , which you often see . Just zippy citrus.  Having perfume people behind this helps. Cabana is coconut and vanilla.  It's a bit like a good tropical blend sorbet and reminds me of a drink I once had on the beach in Aruba.

I tried the lotion, shower gel and  body mist. The lotion is extremely moisturizing and creamy  with a  good scent trail. It has shea butter and grape seed oil. The body wash lathers up well, isn't drying and leaves a little scent. The body mist is just that, a nice light mist that leaves you smelling good and has decent lasting power.

The two other scents are detailed here as well as prices.  

-Forbidden – Ruby pomegranate, blackberry and amber create an air of mystery

-Sunswept – Sicilian orange, lemon and bergamot capture the inescapable joy of a sunny day

-Cabana – Coconut, Tahitian vanilla and papaya transport wearers to a tropical destination

-Blush – Sugared peony, cassis and pink champagne are a toast to the modern flirt

Cos Bar for The Shops at Target

The Shops at Target is the next big thing  from the retail giant. They've teamed up with luxury shops like Cos Bar and The Webster to bring these goodies  right to you at a great price.

 

Cos Bar is a top shelf beauty emporium in Aspen. Part of the line is  a set of bath and body products in the delicious sounding White Tea and Blueberry. It just sounds  like summer doesn't it ?   These will be in stores and online beginning May 6 for a limited time.

Albertus Swanepoel for Target



Francoise

Halloween is tomorrow and Target has a real treat  for those of us  hat fans. Hatmaker extraordinaire Albertus Swanepoel's line  especially for Target hits stores then.

I think of Swanepoel as one of the triumvirate of amazing  couture milliners working right now, alongside Philip Treacy and Stephen Jones. I dream of owning one of their creations and while most are beyond my budget, each hat in the Target line is priced at $ 19.99. I hope the quality lives up .



Ganache



There are 14 styles. Two of my favorites are Francoise and Ganache.  Either would make a lovely addition  to my collection of both new and vintage chapeaus.

Edit : My Target finally got most of these. I haven't decided on a purchase yet as I love a couple but the quality as the commenters previously have mentioned is really good. The Francoise is especially nice ,  as is the more full brimmed styled one , Tabatha I believe.

New Pixi Beauty for Fall

Pixi has quite a few great new products hitting Target shelves soon. I have tried the new Wakeup concealer . It's a wand concealer/brightener for under eyes and anywhere else. It does  a nice job of doing what it's supposed to.

The Fake Awake Kit looks loaded with brights and lights to perk up your face. These work not only first thing in the morning, but late in the day when your makeup( or you) might start to droop.

Missoni for Target  is coming September 13th and with images finally out people are getting excited. There are styles across all categories, but I've picked 2 favorites- the makeup bags ( assorted sizes ) and the floppy hat.

The hat is Veruschka   from the 70s chic and will look great  alongside your trench coat on days when the wind is blowing and a good hair day isn't going to happen  Instead you'll have a chic hat and it won't matter.

The makeup bags come in many sizes and prints and lets face it we all love fun makeup bags. My tip,  think Christmas shopping . These won't be in stores that long so  pick some up now for great gifts later ( providing your giftee hasn't already bought them herself. note-save receipt).

LPLP by Linea Pelle for Target

I usually keep tabs on the upcoming Target collabs but somehow it squeaked by me that Linea Pelle was doing one. Last September during fashion week at Robert Verdi's lounge I got to see much of the original line in person. Gorgeous leather bags , wallets and fun studded bracelets. ( Shown in last image).

Now there is LPLP by Linea Pelle for Target, incorporating a lot of the same design elements. The studded bracelets are there as are similar looking wallets.   These are faux leather but also carry a far lower price tag. The collection is priced between  $ 9.99 and $ 34.99 . 

I haven't gotten over to Target to see these in person yet. Have you ? What did you think ? I have to say from just the images, the white bag looks  nice for summer.

Jason Naturals Holiday Sets at Target

On a recent Target trip I saw these cute new gifts sets from Jason Naturals.

I felt a little odd snapping pictures in a Target, but all in beauty blogger days work.

Jason Naturals is a great organic/natural line. I've used their lotions for years and of course we all know and love Celestial Seasonings. It seems too, that people who love scent, and scented products tend to be big tea fans as well.

The Candy Cane Lane tea is a favorite . It tastes and smells beyond good . I didn't get to smell the matching body products, but there is real potential there. At 19.99 a set these make a great, easy gift for so many people for the upcoming holiday.

Some sets are online at Target but I did not see these particular ones.
