Bond No. 9 New York Amber

I'm an amber lover in perfume. Not all ambers mind you, I've discovered over time, but the warmer, sweeter ones. Bond No 9 's new New York Amber falls into  that category. It's rich but not too strong ,but it does pack a punch.  Bond  doesn't do weak thankfully. And it is sweet, but not candy sweet , but sweet in the sense that it's not dark and is lifted by the deep richness that you get with amber. There's plenty of the benzoin and  myrrh notes in there.  It's smoky but not in an overly incense way.

This pretty much screams fall and winter at you and is going to be one of the cozy scents that you love this time of year. Amber always works though, so come Spring it'll still be one to wear.

Note list includes : bergamot, saffron, nutmeg, white peppercorn, majestic rose, jasmine, osmanthus, oud, amber, sandalwood, musk, myrrh, benzoin tears.

New York Amber has a parfum concentration of 30% , far more than usual which brings a higher  price tag- $ 260 for 50ml .

I love amber, but this was a complete scrubber. Too harsh.
