Chanel Paris- Riviera EDT - Les Eaux

One of my favorite fragrance launches last year were the Les Eaux from Chanel. Paris- Biarritz became a staple in my perfume wardrobe and still is. Especially in Summer.

So I was quite excited to hear there was a new addition coming . Paris - Riviera  joins the previous trio and it, too, is a beauty.

It blooms with lots of orange blossom  and jasmine after a citrusy start of orange peel  and petitgrain. The orange blossom is  warm and effervescent. Chanel has their own source for this flower with Olivier Polge stating " For years, we have worked with a cooperative in Vallauris that distills orange blossoms grown in the region’s private gardens ” . “The owners of bitter orange groves bring the petals picked from their trees to this cooperative to be processed on location. The local climate yields an extremely pure essence. ”  Sounds delicious , right ?

As it dries down there is sun warmed skin musk along a touch of sandalwood  and there's a solar fragrance feeling.

Like the other Les Eaux this is fairly light but it has plenty of sillage at the beginning. It's an easy scent for reapplying, and I say sprtiz with abandon. It's  a sunny , chic and pretty sundress of a scent.

Chanel Paris- Riviera  EDT is $ 130 and will be available for one year  at Chanel.com and Nordstrom.

Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral Rich Eye Cream

I love a good eye cream, I've said that many times. My eye area gets dry and I'm all about keeping it taken care of.  I' also a big fab of Peter Thomas Roth skincare so we've got a winner here in his new  Hungarian Thermal Water Eye Cream.

This rich cream feels luxe and soothing on the eyes , adds plenty of moisture and smoothes the area out a little  but isn't heavy or overly greasy. It's whipped feeling cream that blends in well.   I use it mainly at  night but The Mom has swiped the jar and she uses it am and pm and finds it works nicely under makeup too.  She appreciate a good eye cream too.

Ingredients include caffeine, ceramides, micro algae , sea buckthorn berry and  arnica flower extracts, sunflower, linseed and evening primrose oils.

PTR has done it again , this is worthy addition to your skincare routine.

Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water  Mineral Rich Eye Cream is $ 46 at Peter Thomas Roth.com and Macys.

Phytomer Algodefense SPF 20 Multi Protective Cream

Phytomer is a French brand based in Brittany that creates marine based skincare. It's a brand I've heard of for a long time but only recently finally tried.

Their new Algodefense is an easy to wear day cream that provides sunscreen and moisture . This has light SPF of 20 ( chemical sunscreens) and moisturizer in one.

The cream is very soft, luxe feeling and soothing on skin with an immediate feel of hydration. It smoothes and plumps some too.   But it's not heavy so it works nicely even in Summer and layers under makeup.  I'm combo skin so I generally use a more matte foundation but I also have  normal skin on the non T Zone areas so matte can look cakey if I don't add some moisturizer there.  This has been doing a nice job the past couple weeks and I've been tapping some onto my hands as well.  No wasting that little extra bit of product that squeezes out sometimes. And I'm not going to lie, it feels very French chic and I like that too.

Ingredients include  glycerin ,olive oil esters ,  Criste Marine ( Samphire) oil , from a seaside growing plant ,  blue micro algae , brown and red algae , and sunflower seed oil.  They use a proprietary ingredient blend called "City Safe" that is marine sugars along with the algae for antioxidant/anti pollution protection.

Phytomer Algodefense SPF 20 Multi Protective Cream is $ 110 at Phytomer online and in spas worldwide where the brand is sold.
