MAC Archie's Girls Pearlmatte Face Powders

One of the star products, the star for me , of MAC Archie's Girls,  is the Pearlmatte Beauty Powders .

These lovelies, one for Betty, one for Veronica, combine a blush in the hearts and a powder in the  surrounding area. I love the mix of colors with both and they provide a sheer wash of color. More than a beauty powder alone but less than full on blush. And of course there's the big Archie's Girl graphics on the compact.

Flatter Me is the Betty shade. It combines Shell Pearl Beauty Powder with Foolish Me blush in the coral hearts.

Veronica's Blush is the Veronica shade. It has Play it Proper Beauty Powder with Frankly Scarlet blush.

Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Compact Foundation

Shades 117, 115

Powder foundations are my favorite.  I love liquids too, of course, but powders have been very good to me. They are super fast to  use and work great for oilier skins.  The new Make Up For Ever powder foundation, Pro Finish,  is all that and a bag of chips as the saying goes. It's  a powerhouse powder.

The coverage is excellent dry and the wear time is amazing. It looks good all day and all evening. Without a touch up.  I am less oily in winter so in summer I would say I'd  need a blot on the nose at times.

This isn't a heavy powder but it is full coverage unless you use it wet where it becomes very sheer. Too sheer for me. I'm all about the full. It's full and mainly matte but not flat. Your skin looks good. Perfected and soft.

New things in this foundation- a patented vegetal lecithin coating which helps to make pigments look more natural on skin, and it has much less talc than other powder foundations.   Ximenia oil and Aloe Vera  keep it  from looking dry as well.

I've talked about the long wear, MUFE also says it is water resistant.

Make Up For Ever calls is a powder foundation for the woman who would never try powder foundation and I agree.

Pamella Roland Fall 2013 Preview

Fall fashion week is almost here and yes we may not be in Spring yet, but the winter looks will be going down runways soon. Not too worry if you're not ready. They /fall won't hit stores until late summer.

Sneak previews are coming in and one is from a favorite- Pamella Roland. She does the kind of evening gowns you see go down the red carpet and has dressed many a big celeb. It's pretty to the max. Roland says she was inspired by "the ornate interior of the winter palace in St. Petersburg, Russia ", which is my kind of inspiration.

The designer also got the emerald color of the year memo with this  green  gown.
