Chanel La Désirée Rouge Allure Velvet & Radieuse Rouge Allure Lipsticks- Holiday 2013

There are several new lipsticks within Collection Nuit Infinie de Chanel for Holiday as well as a couple repromotes.

Two of the new are the matte La Désirée Rouge Allure Velvet and  Radieuse Rouge Allure .

Radieuse is a light pink that adds just a little color to lips and has the creamy satin formula of Rouge Allure.


La Désirée Rouge is a deep red burgundy matte. This one is very pigment loaded and when it wears off leaves a  bit of a stain behind.

Both shades are great complements to the new Accent blush I previewed here.


Collection Nuit Infinie de Chanel is on counters this month . Both of these lipsticks are LE and $ 34.

Chanel Accent Blush -Holiday 2013

There is , as there most always is, a lot of pretty in the Chanel Holiday collection.

Having now seen & tried a large portion of it, I think one item has jumped out most to me and it's the new blush , Accent.

It's hard to describe the color here, it's a brownish pink with light shimmer basically. It shows more brown on the swatch , but on my face I think it goes a bit more pink. It is well pigmented but that's also several layers and  easily blends down to a lighter look. That deep swatch can be blended to something sheerer.

Accent is simply a perfect winter shade. The light shimmer gives  a bit of moonlight to the face, and the  muted semi neutral pink tones should work on so many skin tones  and go with most of our fall/winter fashion choices.  I am not usually a pink blush person, but I am liking this so much.

Pacifica Coconut Kiss Lip Butters

Part of Pacifica's Spring launch but very appropriate for the cooler weather of fall and winter are Coconut Kiss Lip Butters.

These lip butters have a sheer tint of color,  a  coco-nutty scent & flavor with a nice dose of moisture thanks to coconut , avocado and sunflower seed oils, as well as cacao and mango seed butters.

The balms are a little harder than many butters you might use. These are not super squishy soft but still are easily enough to apply with fingers or lip brush. The tints are just enough to make lips have  a just kissed sort of color.
