NARS Vent Glace Eyeshadow Duo - Fall 2012

Vent Glace , the new eyeshadow duo from NARS fall 2012 is gorgeous.   That's my word for it. As soon as I saw the images I knew  I would like it, despite the colors not being ones I usually gravitate towards.  Even though it's billed as platinum and smoky silver, I sensed there might be a little blu-ish green in there . I was right. Just a hint , to my eye, but enough to make it so much more than just a basic silver.

It's a bit hard to describe, the deeper side of the duo, but lets's stick with gorgeous. Silver shadows , while always pretty, are usually not for me. This set is another story. This makes my eyes greener ( and silver never does that  ).  I think will really make blue eyes pop too. Of course it has that creamy , smooth NARS formula that I've come to love for  not only the rich pigment but how long lasting the shadows are. 

Vent Glace is my top pick from the whole fall collection .

Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait in Troublant -Fall 2012

Chanel's fall collection like most they do is chock full of pretty prospects.  I have a  few favorites  and at the top of the list is the Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss in Troublant. Part of this is no doubt my love for the formula of the Rouge Extraits. I think they're are one of the best lip formulas.  They have full coverage and shine , are thicker than most glosses , but not heavy, and they last long on the lips. I only have one other of these and I horde it.

I wasn't sure at first that Troublant would work on me, but once it was on , I was sold.  It's billed as a rose-brown and that almost covers it. It's a little more plummy than rose I think, which is why I can wear it.  I do think that it will be a shade that will look good on almost anyone  and so nice for fall.  A great complement to lots of mascara, a polished pony or updo and  a camel coat.

Troublant does have  shimmer but nothing overwhelming if you're not a shimmer fan.

Guerlain Fall 2012 incl New Rose Aux Joues Blush Duos

A quick look at a few of the new fall Guerlain items. Two new LE  Kiss Kiss Glosses in Sable Snow and Grenade , Les Fauves eye palette ( permanent) and  a new line of very nice  blush duos called Rose Aux Joues.   The blush duos come in six colorways of red, pinks, beige or orange  and are $ 50. All items will on counter in August.

Dior Fall 2012 Golden Jungle /Golden Jungle Palette

It's time for fall collections, I know , I know. But seasonally that's how it is. Dior is always one of the most anticipated I think, and each season they give us a fabulous new palette to ogle.

This Fall it's Golden Jungle, the palette  #002  and the collection. The palette is a beauty with a trio of eyeshadows and a lipgloss  in the Dior  heavy silver case.

The three shadows are matte ( deep brown) , pearl ( medium brown) and iridescent ( ivory ). The  sparkle sheen on the ivory section is an overspray. The lipgloss is a golden beige and sheer with slight shimmer.

The jungle motif is a long standing one within  Dior's history and this , according to Dior , is a modern take on it .  Works for me. I love leopard , don't you ?

The whole collection revolves around golds and bronzes including eye palettes and nail lacquers.

 Look for Golden Jungle on counter  most likely in late August.
