NARS Liguria Lipstick- Spring 2015

Pale nudes were the trend on the runways for the Spring collections during fashion week.  Francois Nars embraced this look full on sending the Marc Jacobs models out with just concealer.  His Spring color collection continues this.

While very bare and nearly nude might not be your total makeup cup of tea, nude shades are easy to wear for many of us and can be incorporated individually .

NARS new Liguria lipstick is a  light caramel  nude.  It complements the all over bare look but also is a great counterpoint to a smoky eye.  I can  wear it , it doesn't pale out my lips but it might be too light for some.  I love a good nude lippie so this works for me although yes, I do wish it had a wee bit more color.

The formula is creamy with a satin finish and light gold shimmer.

Chanel Glossimer Fleur D'Eau- Spring 2015

One Chanel's new Spring collection  Glossimers  is Fleur D'Eau from Reverie Parisienne.

Fleur D'Eau is a light , sheerer gloss and Chanel calls it a Jelly Coral but it's not quite as  sheer as Summer 2012's Calypso . It's also more coral where Calypso is more orange.  The color is a pretty medium coral for a nice pop of color with very slight bits of gold shimmer.

This will work now but also in Summer. It's a great vacation shade too ,if you happen to be hitting the tropics this winter. Cruise wear for the lips.

Chanel Paradiso & Tenderly Le Vernis Nail Colour- Spring 2015

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is enjoying the rest of the holiday season.

I've got more newness from Chanel, this time two of the three Le Vernis from Spring's collection- Paradiso and Tenderly.

I love both of these shades, as neither are exactly like anything I have.

Paradiso is a pearlescent , iridescent pale green. It's almost white but not quite , and that bit of green gives it some character. A lovely icy shade for Winter and early Spring.  Two coats did well here.

Tenderly is a mauve-y purple creme . Not pale but not dark and I did need three coats for best coverage.  It's  a Spring/ Easter shade gone moody.

Both polishes are part of Spring 2015 Reverie Parisienne and are available now. They are $ 27 and LE.

Chanel Tissé Paris Les 4 Ombres Eye Quad- Spring 2015

 Chanel Spring , yes Spring, arrives shortly. It's a lovely collection filled with deep pinks and corals .

 Tissé Paris Les 2 Ombres  is one of two new Eye Quads in Reverie Parisienne.

Chanel labels the shades Soft Rosewood, Delicate Ivory, Intense Rosewood and Intense Slate Grey.  They are all pretty if not the easiest to wear. Soft and Intense Rosewood are the hardest to work with.

Soft Rosewood leans pink, and is very pale while Intense has a bit of red in there. With my red hair and pale complexion I can make them work but it's still a tough sell. The Slate Grey on the other hand is beautiful and has a hint of taupe to it while the Ivory shimmers with gold.
