Fashion Week Report- Malan Breton Show

Back with Fashion Week news and scoop. There's much to share but I am way behind, and am working on getting to all of it.

Some highlights to be reported on: Backstage at the Eventide show, Hanging at Robert Verdi's Luxe Lounge where Liya Kebede and Eva Longoria put in an appearance, and todays post, my first front seat at a show for the Malan Breton collection.

Good friend Kathy of A Minx ... blog is a Project Runway blogger and we both went to Malan's show and somehow ended up in the front row which was fun. Now this was not a celebrity laden show and it was the first show of the morning so those things all helped.

At any rate, it was a very classic, lovely collection. I was not terribly familar with the designer beforehand, but thought this was an eminently wearable collection. There were pieces that seemed not quite finished, and needed some pulling together, though.

My favorite was the cream coat ensemble, and the patent leather short jacket.

Also a trend in the making- dark eyes and a bolder lip. This was the case at Eventide which I'll have more on later, and it's here as well. Personally I have always liked this look and think it can be done well. The models here also sported nice ponytail with a pouffed crown that complemented the elegant look.
