La Prairie Life Threads Fragrances

La Prairie delves more into the fragrance world with Life Threads, an oddly named but well done line of perfumes.

Named in part to reflect the ties that connect us to people and places all our life and inspired by the invisible red thread ,a legend from China that says the when a child is born, he or she is connected by that thread to everyone they'll ever know.

Life Threads comprises 3 scents- Silver, Platinum and Gold.

Silver- A white floral with an immediate hit of creamy tuberose. Green notes come in quickly . It's lush but not cloying. The drydown is a mix of tuberose , green notes and a bit of spices like the sandalwood note, but the tuberose is the main feature. This was my favorite of the 3. (Notes include tuberose, jasmine, golden bergamot, pimento vetiver and more)

Gold- Sweet incense with the Osmanthus note coming on as well. There is a touch of fruit. A floral oriental, but not a smoky one. It's almost a comfort scent and dries down to a lightly floral, spice. (Notes include tangerine, chinese plum, clove bud, coriander, ylang ylang, myrrh, and more)

Platinum- The chypre of the set. Plenty of the traditional oakmoss, with floral notes in the drydown. It has a sparkling quality and is a lighter chypre . ( Notes include violet leaf, rich plum, leather, iris, patchouli, labdanum and more)

Life Threads are $ 125.00 each for 1.7 oz and can be found at high end department stores as well as http://www.laprairie.com/
