OGX Sparkling Cider Shampoo/Conditioner

Each year at the Holidays OGX releases seasonally fun scented shampoo and conditioner.

This year they partnered with Kandee Johnson for three fragrances.

Sparkling Cider is very fragranced and packs a hit of  warm cinnamon along with a little fruity apple. It smells great and does leave a lingering scent on your hair. I'm still on the fence about how I feel having scented hair but I do love the smell of the shampoo.

OGX products work great for my hair and these are no different. You get moisture and  light conditioning for soft, but not weighed down hair without sulfates. If you  have very dry hair, you might find you need something heavier or more conditioning ( I rec their Coconut Miracle Oil), but normal to slightly dry should do well.

OGX Holiday Sparkling Cider, Candy Gumdrop  and Frosted  Sugar Cookie are  available at Wal Mart and Ulta for $ 7.99 per bottle.

Maui Moisture Thicken & Restore Hair Care

Summer means sun and swimming in the pool so my hair always needs some extra help .  It gets a little drier at the mid and ends plus I heat style most of the time-at least partway with a hot dryer. And hey, it's hitting 90 here so I plan to be in the pool again this weekend. I'm not done with it yet.

Maui Moisture is a shamp/cond combo that uses aloe and bamboo fibers for strengthening and thickening. Now I don't really  need thickness but this only added a little volume.  A nice boost but not lots.  Where it worked best for me was adding moisture  and the repairing ingredients. My hair was soft, conditioned, mostly smooth ( half air drying  you have to end up with a  little pouf ) and shiny.  It 's  nicely hydrating but not heavy or super conditioning. For my normal to dry hair , it's just right. And after a few uses I've noticed my dry areas are much better and I need less leave in.

Ingredients include aloe juice( as the first ingredient), coconut water, neem and coconut oils and chamomile extract. It is also has no sulfates, parabens, silicone, sls or mineral oil and is vegan.

Maui Moisture Thicken & Restore  Shampoo and Conditioner are available at drugstores and discounts stores along with Ulta .  Retail is approx. $ 8.99 each.

OGX Damage Remedy + Coconut Miracle Oil Collection

Want super soft, conditioned , healthier hair? This new duo from OGX delivers.

After one use of the  Damage Remedy + Coconut Miracle Oil shamp/cond combo my hair was as soft as it has ever been in recent memory , and this was after heat drying.  I even needed less leave in .  I did get a little less volume  than usual but  I am also out of my favorite bodifying mousse  and my replacement styling product was not up to the task , it's a backup but one that doesn't do much.

Hair is really cleansed well with this and left feeling healthy without any heaviness and I was even able to go another day between washings.

The line uses coconut oil for moisture along with tiare flower and vanilla extract for a pretty but not too strong tropical scent .

In addition to the shampoo and conditioner there is also a leave in Coconut Miracle Oil. Also , OGX is sulfate free.

Organix Travel Size Shampoo/Conditioner

With summer  here it's  travel time be it quick trips over a weekend to longer jaunts. Travel sizes  are a must especially on those quicker trips when packing   light  is most important .

I had no idea Organix made these cute travel sizes.   Simple  enough to toss this shamp/conditioner combo in the over night bag. Or keep them handy for a rinse out after a day at the beach or pool before cocktail hour.

These 3 oz bottles come in many of the Organix varieties at $2.99 each.

Organix  trial/travel sizes are wherever the brand is sold including Ulta and Target.

Organix Quenching Coconut Curls Haircare

I have a new friend who has been complaining about her dry , curly hair since the day I met her last year. She battles it but  didn't seem to be using any of the right products. She used very little product in fact, which was part of the problem. Her hair is short , dry and has curl but not ringlet curls. It's also colored and she never uses heat tools.

So when the Organix Quenching Coconut Curls line landed on my desk, she was the first person  I thought of and I gave it to her to be my tester .

She's been using it for about 2 weeks now with great results. Right off her hair was softer and not only felt it but looked it.  Now her style is looking even better with the extra dry, longer side pieces  looking better than ever and there's a little volume too.

The full line features a hair butter deep conditioner as well as a moisturizing mousse , so you can get some styling help as well as moisture.

I've had great luck with the brand's Proganix line and if you have curls this might be worth trying as it's well priced, works and there's often a BOGO. Oh and it smells pretty great too .
