Chloe Nomade Absolu EDP

New from Chloe is  Nomade Absolu de Parfum. I wasn't overly into the original version. It was well done but not really me. This new version is a different story.

 Nomade Absolu is stronger ,deeper and amps up the oakmoss and florals. It's somewhat old school but done in a modern way. Freesia ,a soft rose and davana are the floral notes . They are there right off and then  sandalwood and a good bit of warm musk bring the drydown with a little of those florals still there mixing in. 

Absolus is  a little chypre and a little woodsy. It's also a warm and cozy scent but also sophisticated. Perfect for scarf and sweater weather as it will hold up to the layers  with lasting power and  good sillage .

Chloe Nomade

Chloe is known for their rose based fragrances like Rose de Chloe and Love Story .  With their new Nomade ,they head in a different direction.

Chloe Nomade reminds me a little of  old school perfumery and '70s/'80s classics. It's not as bold as those but very much a  floriental chypre  with a touch of not too sweet fruit peeking out . It's soft  and cozy , the kind of fragrance meant to stay on your best sweater and will stand up to the cooler temps and layers of clothes .

First spritz brings the oakmoss and spices.  The Mirabelle Plum comes in the mid point and is a good counter to the earthy oakmoss and musks. It is, as I said above, not overly sweet but honeyed, syrupy , darker. Freesia and rose bring the florals with the freesia being barely there to my nose. Nomade is not really about the floral and the rose , so prominent in their other scents, is much less here.

Nomade is more sophisticated than what we often see today in fragrance , it's for an adult woman and that's a good thing. The EDP has medium sillage and it lasts long.

I love the bottle here, too. It mimics the brand's popular handbag design.

Chloe Absolu La Parfum

I do love when all the holiday fragrance editions start rolling out .

New from Chloe is the Absolu La Parfum edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the line.  This is a more enhanced version of the original ,  according to the brand with more Damascena rose and added Centafolia rose. While it still recalls Chloe ,  it  does feel a bit richer and more straight up rose .

 This is very rose, a soft young, clean rose that feels cozy yet light . There is  somewhat of a citrus start,  then the rose comes in . The rose is very prominent but nicely done and not strong.   Patchouli is listed as a mid point ingredient but I get very little of that.  It's there to ground things most likely, but never overshadows the rose.  Vanilla is also mentioned and it's there in the drydown, but again in a very light way.

Chloe Absolu de Parfum  wears fairly close to the skin ( but is not a skinscent), with  medium sillage and lasts well.   It's lovely , if you are a rose fan, as I am. You'll find it easy to wear , especially for day.

Chloe Love Story Eau Sensuelle

Chloe Love Story Eau Sensuelle is the next in the Chloe Love Story fragrance collection.

 Love Story Eau Sensuelle starts with a burst of fruit , dewy florals and a little clean soap.  Orange Blossom is still the  main flower here as it has been with previous versions but not as prominent . While lemon, yuzu and nashi (pear) are listed as top notes, I only get a very quick impression of the citrus and it's gone. The Yuzu and nashi hang around a bit longer but this  does not stay overly fruity at all.

As it  begins to dry,  the heliotrope comes in and then the sandalwood for grounding. It's a very soft fragrance and by the drydown when the sandalwood is at full presence, a touch powdery . The overall impression is a  clean , lightly floral fragrance.   Sunny, easy to wear and feminine .

The sillage here is light to medium, it's not a skin scent, it does project some but at the same time it's not strong  and  wears softly on skin.

The bottle continues the brand's tribute to the locks placed by lovers on the bridges of Paris with a blush colored juice and ribbon  this time.

Chloe Love Story EDT

New from Chloe is Love Story just in time for the season of hearts, Valentines Day.

Whether you love, hate or are just meh with the  V day thing, a beautiful fragrance is always in season and the soft roses of the Chloe line are simply pretty.

Love Story is  a light , dewy floral with more flowers in there than just rose. It's a bouquet with  sunny orange blossom, jasmine and prunus flower, the latter lending a green note. I get  hints of bright citrus as well , likely from the orange blossom as there are no specific citrus notes listed. The drydown brings cedrawood, barely there , just enough woods to ground everything.

This  feels perfect for chilly Winter days into sunnier Spring ones. Wafting from your favorite sweater or scarf, it has medium sillage. It's not so light as to be barely there but isn't strong either. It could easily be worn anywhere , anytime. Chloe Love Story doesn't reinvent the wheel, but if you like this type of scent, and especially if you are rose or white floral fan, it's worth a sniff. Also for an EDT it lasts fairly long.

Roses de Chloé

Chloe's newest is all about the rose , one of my very favorite fragrance notes.

Roses de Chloé is a light rose,  fresh  and not powdery. There are touches of fruit but nothing overly  sweet. It's very floral with the dewy rose and magnolia in the forefront until we head to the drydown where the musk comes out.

This wears close to the skin and is a good scent for someone who likes their fragrance quiet and soft, but pretty.  It's a veil of scent that feels very Spring like.

Roses de Chloé  is $ 95 for 1.7 oz and $ 120 for 2.5 oz.

See By Chloe Paint A Scent- Brush On Fragrance

Have  you seen this paint on version of See by Chloe? It's pretty neat with a brush to apply scent as opposed to spray or rollerball.

I love rollerballs so this looks great to me as well, although I'll admit I am not a huge fan of the See by Chloe scent . I wonder if we'll see more fragrances try this ?

The size is .5 oz so it's portable as well.

Chloe L'Eau de Chloe Perfume- Coming Soon

Set to release in February is L'Eau de Chloe , an addtion to the Chloe line of fragrances. This one is said to be a chypre rose which would be awesome if it really was that. We have to wait to see, but here's hoping.

Notes include : include distilled rosewater, citrus and patchouli.

Purse Sprays- By Kilian & Chloe

Purse sprays are fun , portable and airline friendly. All good things. They are very luxe too aren't they? Pulling one of these out of the handbag would be tres chic. You can have your perfume and spray it too.

Lately more and more lines are coming out with purse sprays, meaning you have far more choices than before. Two newest are from By Kilian and Chloe . Both come in beautiful cases, and the By Kilian's are refillable.

Chloe Lisy is the name of the new purse spray, which is the pure parfum here.

The Chloe line is large with candles, an excellent body cream and shower cream and now this leather encased purse spray . They've tweaked the perfume for this some. It now has pink peppercorn in the top notes, sandalwood and tonka bean at the drydown. This makes a slightly spicier scent than the original which is a soft, slightly powdery rose/violet.

By Kilian is the perfume line created by Kilian Hennessey. I've reviewed all fragrances in the past. The line doesn't come cheaply but the quality is excellent . These are well done, beautiful fragrances.
