Love Beauty and Planet Body Wash

I've finally gotten around to trying  some of the Love, beauty and planet line.  It's one that's interested me for awhile  and as it's a natural brand and it being Earth Day soon ( Apr. 22)  and all, it was the right time to test drive.

The brand is asking fans to  do #SmallActsofLove this Earth Day ,  knowing that even seemingly little things like turning the faucet off while brushing your teeth  and remembering to recycle bottles like the brand's own, make a difference without much effort from us.

Of course I also love a good body wash  , so I've got  their Tea Tree & Vetiver and Shea Butter & Sandalwood in the rotation.

Tea Tree & Vetiver Daily Detox is  herb-y smelling with a  good whiff of the  menthol tinged tea tree and green vetiver. It's very much unisex  and a refreshing  choice for a hot day with it's  overall feeling of coolness.

Shea Butter & Sandalwood Majestic Moisture smells cozy, warm and coconutty thanks to the shea butter and coconut oil .  This is creamier than the tea tree blend and helps skin feel soothed and hydrated. The one to wind down with.

 These lather well for a more natural formula, not heavy lather but enough that you feel like you've gotten enough  to feel clean.  The scents aren't strong either , more subtle and linger close to skin.

The bottles here 100% recycled  and 100% recyclable. they use plant based cleansers, no sulfates parabens, dyes . They are vegan and not tested on animals.

Lavanila Elements Vanilla + Earth Deodorant

Lavanila is known for their natural deodorants. Now they have a new line, The  Elements Collection with a blend of fragrances that are tuned into the elements of Earth, Water and Air .

I have Vanilla + Earth which adds patchouli, sandalwood to  the vanilla. Don't worry here  about a super fragranced deo though. The notes here are light  and use pure essential oils. You get the smallest hint of  the notes . It all blends into  a softly spiced herbal scent.

If you're not familiar with Lavanila ,  these are all natural ingredients , no aluminum, parabens or other harsh chemical and no animal testing. They leave under arms smelling nice and last pretty well .

Other scents are  Vanilla + Air - light floral of violet and rose , and Vanilla + Water with chamomile and jasmine.

Tom's of Maine Orange Blossom & Creamy Coconut Natural Moisturizing Body Wash & Soap

 
Tom's of Maine is ready for Summer and you will be too with their newest fragrances.  Coconut and Orange Blossom are about as summer-y as you can get.

Creamy Coconut has fair trade virgin coconut oil for moisture and a nice fragrance. It's lightly coconut with a little herbal as you might expect from  a natural brand.

Orange Blossom has fair trade Moroccan Argan Oil  and  a good hit of  the citrus fragrance you get with orange blossoms .  It's one of my favorite scents and I love finding it in a body wash .

Both of these have sunflower seed oil and vitamin e for added moisture.  The formula is thick and creamy , lathers up well ,  feels good on skin and rinses clean without any dryness.

Tom's uses  no animal testing, no artificial fragrances , colors or preservatives  and the packaging is 100% recyclable.

 There are also coordinating beauty bars/ soaps,  newly reformulated . They are triple milled, prettily packaged  and use Rainforest certified palm oil . Great not just for you but tucked in the guest bathroom  too.

Pangea Organics Body Lotion

Earth Day is just past, but as they say Earth Day is every day and Colorado based Pangea Organics new body lotions fit right in.

These new lotions are just right for the warmer weather we're beginning to have. They moisturize well with  shea butter,  organic sunflower seed oil  and cocoa butter but aren't heavy like a balm or cream might be.  They sink in fast and feel light on skin.

These are all lightly fragranced  and smell herbal , each having a touch of the  plant essence of the listed herbs or flowers on the front of the tube .

Indian Lemongrass with Rosemary is citrus-y and cool , French Chamomile with Sweet Orange and Lavender is slightly sweet  with the apple like note of the chamomile and a little citrus ,  Pyrenees Lavender with Cardomom is full of dry , dusky lavender and a little spice.

These are really effective body lotions,  and it's good to know that Pangea Organics uses organic agriculture to reduce the use of pesticides, fungicides and chemical or synthetic fertilizers , along with no sulfates, GMOs or synthetic fragrances in the formula. Avalon Organics Intense Defense SPF Cream, Facial Oil & Cleansing Wipes

Avalon Organics has always made some great products and that they are mostly organic and natural is a big bonus. Natural is great but you want a good product as well.

New is an entire line called Intense Defense. Some products have been part of their brand before but some are all new.

Intense Defense Sheer Moisture SPF 10 is  light moisturizer with a little physical SPF built in to add to skin protection. The cream itself is pretty thick and white and goes on that way . Once on skin however it sinks in.blends pretty quickly and does not feel greasy.  Hydrating ingredients include aloe leaf juice, argan oil, shea butter and rosa canina seed oil. Antioxidants include black tea ferment, white tea and vitamin C while zinc and titanium dioxide provide the SPF. $ 18.99

Intense Defense Antioxidant Oil packs apricot, argan and raspberry seed oils along with sunflower seed oil, white tea and vitamin C. The Argan and Sunflower seed oils are certified organic. It has a great citrus scent and is highly emollient. $ 18.99

Intense Defense Detoxifying Towelettes  get skin clean with botanical cleansers and are biodegradable ( even wonder what happens to all the wipes we use and then trash ??)  They contain antioxidants and clean well but are not overly hydrating, if that matters to you.  $ 6.99

Rather spot on for the time of year when colds and flu seem to be hitting hardest, is this new  decongesting stick from Clean George.

Stuffed Up has  natural ingredients of rosemary, eucalyptus, camphor and peppermint  to help get your sniffer unstuffed  when you inhale the vapors. It can also be rubbed along the nostrils much like Vicks ,  and with shea butter it's moisturizing and easy to apply.

I like that while it has plenty of scent it doesn't bowl you over. It's just right in scent strength.
