NARS Dual Intensity Eye Shadows - Himalia & Subra

Dual Intensity Eye Shadows from NARS made their debut at fashion week .

These new single shadows can be used wet or dry and come in twelve shades.

NARS says that they apply dry for a sheer finish with luminous sheen or wet for intense opaque color, but I find that dry the color is quite pigmented and not sheer at all. When used wet I only noticed a slight deepening. These are great right out of the pan.   My swatches are of them applied dry.

The shadows glide easily on lids and have rich shimmer as well as good wear time. Shown are Subra  a very dark black/brown plum and Himalia, my favorite, golden topaz.

Fun fact: The magnetic closure on the lids is so strong, they will attach to each other. Now you know I am envisioning a tall stack of shadows all magnetically bound together.

NARS Dual Intensity Shadows are available July 1st for $ 29 each.
