Trina Turk for Clinique @ Nordstrom & Holiday 2008

In an exclusive for Nordstrom, Trina Turk, designer of some lovely clothes , has teamed up with Clinique for their first ever designer Bonus Gift bag.
I have always admired the Trina Turk clothes in the emails I used to get from her company. Now I get to own a piece of my own.

The bag is super pretty and quite big. A shiny, silver pattern with a Trina Turk logo patch in yellow which matches inside of the bag. This is my new go to makeup bag for travel. Very chic.

Whats nice about this bonus( and lets face it, bonuses are always fun) is that the GWP price point is really good. They didn't make it so high as to be prohibitive, which can happen when fancier bags get in the mix.You need to make a 25.00 purchase and the bag with it contents is yours.

So what is in the bag you ask ?

Here you go:
Zero Gravity Repairwear Lift
Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser
Long Last Glosswear SPF 15 in Bamboo Pink
Lash Doubling Mascara in Black
Long Last Lipstick in Beach Coral
Lipstick case with mirrorColor Compact with Color Durge eyeshadow duo in Beach Plum/ Soft Pressed Blush in New Clover.( Looove this. Perfect purse piece)

Avail. from Nov. 5- 22nd.

Some Clinique Holiday is out now too.
There are 2 color schemes- Party Red( comes out in Dec) and Blackberry Bloom( Out now).
Some of the items are: Black Honey Kohl eye shaper, Black Amethyst Color Surge eyeshadow( shown), and the pretty Fresh Bloom Allover Color in Blackberry Bloom.( Also shown)

On the red side are several new Red/Berry lipsticks .

Also the customizable Clinique Happy Photo Bottle makes a return.

Dermalogica Stress Relief Candle

New from Dermalogica for the holidays is the Stress Relief Candle. I have been wanting to mention since smelling it in Sept. but it wasn't out yet so I had no info like pricing , etc.

I walked into a room during Fashion Week and it smelled so amazing. I soon found it was several votives lit of this new candle. The scent was soothing and a bit tart, and it reminded me just a bit of the holidays. There is no pine or spruce in there but just enough herbs to give it a tinge of a tree scent. It's the rosemary and lemon I think. A perfect combo of astringent, citrus and greenery. Other notes are sandalwood, lavender , tea tree and eucalyptus. It is uplifting and relaxing at the same time.

The candle is now available and would make a nice complement to the holiday rush . Burn while wrapping.

There are two sizes to choose from:
65 hour burn time $ 28.00

3 votive set with a burn time each of 25 hours $ 41.00

They are limited edition so stock up now.

Dermalogica is available at Ulta stores and at http://www.dermalogica.com/

Elnett Hairspray at Target

Have you seen the much lauded , hard to find Elnett hairspray at your Target?? A few boutique type websites have been a bringing it to us from Europe, but can I say I was wowed to see at Target? It even now says made in USA on the can bottom.

Elnett ,if you don't know about it is the stuff of beauty legends. Long a staple of stylists in France and made by L'oreal, you either had to go overseas or track down an importer. I got my can via mail order years ago and have made it last. I don't use tons of spray normally, and had others in the rotation. ( ok, I saved it. thats the truth, crazy as it may be)

Elnett is a light mist that gives good hold without hardly being there. It's brushable, weightless and you can style with it. You an brush right through and re -style if needed. If you want to tease hair, this is a great one for instance.

It's not cheap, right up there with Sebastian Shaper Plus etc. ( Shaper Plus being the gold standard here). Elnett is also on Target's website( just did a quick check) at $13.99. There is Strong Hold and Regular Hold I think.

Target is really bringing the brands lately. Good for us.
