Ready to make a wish ? It is almost the Holiday season after all . How about a A Thousand Wishes ? That's the name of the lovely new seasonal scent from Bath and Body Works coming next month.


A Thousand Wishes scent really does seem to have a bit of effervescence , with quince and pear along with a dash of  champagne .  Peony and freesia add a touch of floral and creamy almond, musk and amber ground the sweetness .

It's a nice cool weather scent  and I love the sparkling label with the burgundy bow. It's festive as can be and will make  great gift sets .

Perfekt Lip Perfekt Crayon

Ready for a new lip crayon ? Meet Lip Perfekt by Perfekt Beauty.

This new crayon, exclusive to Ulta , is a single color that works with your lip chemistry to create a personal shade.  On me it's a nude rose pink, pretty close to what it looks like in the crayon  with just a little more beige in it. 

Lip Perfekt is very moisturizing with hyaluronic microspheres and jojoba oil and  has a shine on the lips with  medium coverage.   There is  peppermint flavor and scent, both pretty light.  

I like this a lot. It's very balm like  and the color is one step up from a "your lips but better" type look.  Great for a more natural lip look or touch ups.

Nature's Gate Pomegranate Sunflower Shampoo & Conditioner

Looking for a new , natural shampoo to treat your color treated locks gently ? Nature's Gate Pomegranate Sunflower Hair Defense might be the answer.

I  used Nature's Gate  shampoo years back and loved how my hair looked and felt with it.  I loved the natural ingredient list too. It's been awhile but I got reminded when I tried this new duo.

Pomegranate Sunflower was created specifically for color treated hair  but you can you use it even if yours isn't color treated ( mine isn't). It is of course sulfate free  and protects against environmental stresses . Sunflower and grapeseed extracts help against color fading and add shine.

After using , my hair felt lighter than usual while still having plenty of volume, seemed brighter  and with  more shine.  The  clean , light feeling lasted over a couple days  as well.

Note that the shampoo lathers really well. Often sulfate free ones don't but this gives you that lather up . The conditioner is a medium weight. If you have dry hair you might need something heavier. For slightly oily to normal, it should be just right .

YSL Paris Rebel Collector

YSL Paris goes in  a new direction  with Rebel Collector .

Rebel takes the  rose of the original and builds on that with the addition of tomato leaf accord. It changes the fragrance a lot as you would imagine.  Gone is the powdery violet rose  of Paris.

Rebel Collector  begins with a blast of pink  pepper and bergamot , with some rose in there right off as well. It's a sharp beginning but quickly  softens and gives way to more rose  with  a whiff  of powder. Then the tomato comes in , although not strongly , and there is a dryness from the iris. Rose is still weaving along in there as well.

The drydown is very musk and amber  with the iris  still noticeable along with a little rose  to soften it.

Just as the fragrance is a different take on Paris, so is the bottle, Same shape but in a reflective silver with a hot pink top. The box opens from the top  and  like a flower,  for a fun presentation

Harujuku Lovers Fragrances Return - Pop Electric

Did you love those cute Harujuku Lovers fragrances of some years back ?  It was hard not to like those cute little dolls and I don't do "cute"  much.  I didn't even care what they smelled like.

After a few additions to the line, the Holiday Jingle G being my fav, the line disappeared.

MAC Seeking Adoration & Romantic Overture Cremesheen Glass - Heirloom Mix Holiday 2014

A pink and plummy quintet of Cremesheen Lipglasses are part of MAC Holiday's  Heirloom Mix collection.

 Seeking Adoration and Romantic Overture are two  of them, ready not just for holiday lips, but all Winter as well.

Seeking Adoration is described by MAC as plummy pink and that sums it up well. It's not too pink nor is it deep plum but somewhere in the middle. It's got slight shimmer which doesn't show up too much on lips. This has a more creme look to it. It's a pretty color,  and one I am already wearing. Pigment is good, not bold but not too light or sheer.  If you love plum lips as I do, then this is one to check out.

Romantic Overture is a sheer gloss with a lot of glimmer and sparkles. While it's called clear, there is a small hint of pink to it  .  Great as a topcoat, or for a quick swipe of twinkly shine without color.
