Dr. Ci: Labo Basic Black Oily- Acne Skincare

Some time back I posted a piece from Women's Health mag that showcased beauty from other countries now available here . When reading it, I saw the Japanese women's secret for keeping oily skin in check- a product by Dr.Ci : Labo called Basic Black Blemish Control Gel.

Since as soon as the weather changed warmer, my skin went into oil overdrive, I needed to investigate this. So I went to the company website, read about the gel and soap and then hit Beautyhabit.com to order both. I have tried many things without success, so this looked a winner perhaps.

This whole line is meant for adult acne prone skin so no drying out. The key ingredient is Charcoal which is know for super oil absorbing properties.

The gel works fantastically well. It is black by the way, and has almost no scent( no charcoal smell thankfully). I use all over the T zone once or twice a day. My skin has been great. Less oil , and no acne, small or large. Yay. I use the soap as well, which I love too. It lathers well, no scent again, and does a good cleansing job. With the two I really think my skin is keeping clearer.

When I had company in all last week, I put the much of the stuff on the vanity away, so stopped using these for a bit. The oily-ness was a about the same, but small zits popped up on my chin within a few days.

The Basic Black gel comes in a pretty large jar( 2.12 oz). It's 36.00 and worth every penny,it will take you ages to use it all. In 5 weeks, I have barely dented it. I can see this lasting me half the year( it does come with a spatula for scooping.)

The soap holds up pretty well too.

The US version of the website has shut down it seems, but you can still go to the Asian ones. or all products can be bought at Amazon.com here , or http://www.beautyhabit.com/

Takashimaya in New York also has the line in store.
The Basic Black line also has a matching moisturizer, that come colder weather I may try.

I can't recommend these enough for those adult oily acne ladies ( or men ) out there.
