Lancome Peut Etre

I am so far behind on posting on this newest re-issue vault perfume from Lancome. I've had a sample for ages but just have not sat down and wrote the post.

As soon as I read about Peut Etre being released I knew I wanted to try it, it being described as lilac and rose among other notes. I do get a nice soft waft of roses from it, but not much lilac. There is a slight muskiness as well, and to me a bit of ylang ylang, but thats not really listed as a note.

What surprised me was that it was very powdery and that I liked it. I am not always good with powdery scents but this one charmed me. Peut Etre is very old fashioned in many ways and it is a re-made version of a classic. The drydown went far better than the top notes. It took awhile to settle , but when it did I was left with a beautiful scent that reminded me just a tiny bit of my beloved Guerlain Nuit D'Amour. The one I posted about awhile back that emptied out onto my carpet one evening, and is super rare. I have not yet found another bottle.

Anyway, Peut Etre is lovely and limited. Try it when you can, so if you love it you can grab a bottle. It is on the Lancome website at $ 125.00 for 1.7 oz
