The Clinique Forecast App

New mobile apps pop up all the time. More fun is when they are makeup oriented ones.

Clinique's new mobile app is quite cool as it not only advises you on product, but tells you the weather, the UV index, how humid it is and more. It can tell you nearest store locations and give you skin tips related to your current weather conditions.

Currently it's iPhone & iPad  but thankfully an Android version is coming soon.

Lancome Visonnaire- Coming Soon

Come this fall Lancome has a new skin product out that looks to be the Swiss Army Knife of skincare .

Called Visionnaire  and an all in one serum,  it's said to work on wrinkles , pores and evening skin tone. It can be used day or night, in the sun , around eyes, by all ethnicties and sensitive skin .  Swiss Army Knife, right ?

According to the announcement in WWD, the  key ingredient is LR 2412 , a molecule discovered 12 years ago by L'Oreal researchers.  They say this molecule "has an affinity with water and oil at the same time and allows it to go in all compartments of the skin and be totally bio available".  LR 2412  has 17 patents and is at 4 percent concentration in the formula.


Approximate US retail will be $ 84.00.

So tell me, does this interest you ? Lancome has always made great skincare, the latest being the wonderful Genifique .  I am sure we will hear a lot more closer to the release date and I will post more info when I get it.

Crest 3D 2 Hour Express White Strips

We all love a brighter smile right ? When I was headed to NYC a couple weeks ago I was in need of whitening. I had a new Crest 3D 2 Hour Express  White Strip sample I had been meaning to try and there was no time like the present.

2 hour whitening is fast and a great idea.  What you wonder is how will it work?  I think I got a nice amount of whitening. Consider that I also am in need of a cleaning , and I am pleased with the results. I would say the strip  got me  a half to one shade whiter. Not bad at all for one time .

There strips come in a set , one for  top and bottom. Wearing them for 2 hours wasn't my favorite thing, you can feel them and I talked a little funny, but I made sure to use them when I was home and lounging. Keep that in mind for your use. They do stick to teeth well and  had little movement. I didn't drink or eat while they were on.

I would definitely try  the Crest  2 Hour Strips again. Years ago I used the original ones when they first came and out  liked them but there have been many developments in teeth whitening lines since then . Crest says the whitening will last for 3 months. I am into the 3rd week and all is good.

I am also using every day Crest's Advanced Vivid Enamel Renewal toothpaste to help the upkeep. Teeth are smooth and clean, not overly whitened but  staying as white as they were so I'll take that as good.
