Sebastian Backstage at Pamela Love for NYFW
Sebastian provided hair for the Pamela Love show during NYFW last month. No secret how much I adore their products and lead stylist Thomas Dunkin even mentions one of my favorites- Gel Forte.
I am totally jonesing for some of that jewerly. Well almost all of that jewelry.
The whole video gives a great behind the scenes look at exactly how it is backstage. It's a fun place to be and watching this is making me long to be back there ( minus the very bad flu that mostly kept me away). The venue was Milk Studios with MAC providing makeup.
Dick Page & Shiseido for Marc by Marc Jacobs
Dick Page is one of THE master makeup gurus of our time. He works for and with Shiseido and provided the makeup for several shows this past fashion week in NY. The look here is for the Marc by Marc Jacobs show and illustrates a trend we have seen a lot of for next season- the orange lip. Highlighted are also some new Shiseido products that are coming soon.
Description:
- “Smooth, matte skin”
- Dick applied a light wash of new Shiseido Makeup Perfect Refining Foundation (launching February 2011) to even the skin tone and to cover up redness or blemishes.
- Dick then applied Shiseido Makeup Natural Finish Cream Concealer where extra coverage was needed; concealer was not applied near the eyes.
-Next, Dick applied a dusting of Shiseido Makeup Translucent Loose Powder all over the skin, to achieve a matte finish.
-To create rosy cheeks, Dick applied a combination of Shiseido Makeup Luminizing Satin Face Colors in Orchid (RD401), Tea Rose (RS302), Petal

EYES
Description:
- “Dewy, melting color”
-To create a dewy effect, Dick applied Shiseido Benefiance Full Correction Lip Treatment on the eyelids, and a trace under the lower lash line.
-Next, Dick sketched right into the upper and lower lash lines with the Shiseido Makeup Smoothing Eyeliner Pencil in Black (BK901); application was sketched and looked “scrubby.”
-Dick then applied a second light application of the Shiseido Benefiance Full Correction Lip Treatment over the eyeliner to give a “melting” effect.
Description
- To create a smooth surface, Dick prepped the lips with Shiseido Benefiance Full Correction Lip Treatment; lips were thoroughly blotted with a tissue to remove excess product.
- Next, Dick applied Shiseido Makeup Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Day Lily OR418) and again blotted the lips with a tissue to remove excess product.
- Dick then applied a thin layer of Shiseido Makeup Translucent Loose Powder under the lower lip line to catch excess product.
-Then with a clean fluffy brush, Dick applied an orange high-pigment powder (a working lab prototype for a potential new Shiseido product) over the lipstick to intensify the color.

Philosophy Under The Mistletoe Lipshine Holiday Set
I posted much of Philosophy's 2010 holiday sets last week, but I have this one more. The Under The Mistletoe Lipshine Set. The set contains 4 lipshines in the flavors Pepperimint Bark, Candy Cane. Pink Frosted Cookie and Cherry Christmas.
I doubt you need me to tell you how delish these are, I am partial to the cherry myself with Pink Frosted Cookie in second.
The packaging is a cute slide out with the 4 glosses set in. Retail is $ 20.00. For 4 full size glosses that's pretty good. Rev up your gift buying engines. I know it's early but the sets are out this month and tend to sell out fast.
