My Oscar Red Carpet Favorites

My Oscar Red Carpet recap is short and simple. With the exception of Sarah Jessica Parker, the full figured and the over 50 ladies did it best.

-Sarah Jessica Parker's Chanel Couture was so stunning it boggles. I know not everyone is loving it but I did. It was not boring like almost all the dresses were . It was different but beautiful. I even liked her crazy huge buns on the back . Again, bold and kind of weird, but risk taking and no one does that anymore at the Oscars it seems. The smoky eye, bronzed glow and stacked diamond bracelets didn't hurt either.

-Queen Latifah looked all out glam and gorgeous in Badgley Mischka Couture Just enough bling on the dress to not be plain, a good color for her, a great fit . On the plus size lady. She worked it, owned it and won.

-Meryl Streep was elegance and class in Chris March . I do wish she loaded on one whopper of a diamond necklace a la Ms. Mirren , my next pick, but that's not Meryl's style. Still she looked great, happy, relaxed and well dressed.
-Helen Mirren can do little wrong in my book . She takes every red carpet by storm. Wearing Badgley Mischka and those huge platinum set diamonds from Chopard around her neck said The Queen is back to all her loyal subjects.

You looks good and beautiful with your outfit. It was a dream for every man to dance with a woman who loves to see herself in the most beautiful way she can.

Loved the lighter lips, particularlyy on Rachel. I too, did not care for Sandra's lip color nor Cameron's either. Sometimes I feel like the artists are just using certain shades to be on trend, when others would be much more flattering...ya know???

Best,

I love the Oscars, because I love watching the stars in fabulous evening dresses. I tend to make up my own versions of what they wear (hey, we all know what they wear is expensive, and I just can't afford that).
