La Mer The Eye Balm Intense
Get your eyes ready for a luxurious time with the new La Mer The Eye Balm Intense.
This new eye balm is to me, almost a gel cream. It's mostly a cream, but not heavy . It's just right. The balm is light, sinks in quickly and feels very refreshing. A little is all you need . It is meant not simply for anti-aging but also for de-puffing .
The Eye Balm Intense has a triple concentration of La Mer’s Miracle Broth™. "Three unique forms—the original, a concentrated version and an encapsulated, time-release form—provide a cooling sensation on contact, then penetrates into the skin to help accelerate skin’s natural repair, renewing skin’s integrity. "
It also has state-of-the-art Marine De-Puff Ferment™ with a energy-rich Deep Sea Red Algae and exclusive Lifting Ferment™, which is "developed from a new combination of La Mer’s Marine Peptide Ferment, Phyto Ferment, and Mineral Ferment".
Retail is $ 145.00 . Available at select Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and http://www.lamer.com/

La Mer for World Oceans Day

Ok yesterday was technically , officially Oceana's World Oceans Day but as with Earth Day , shouldn't it always be important? With what's happening in the Gulf of Mexico , now we need to be more aware than ever.
La Mer has partnered with Oceana for 5 years on this event and this year they have created a limited-edition 100 ml World Oceans Day “blue” Crème de la Mer jar and will make a $200,000 donation to Oceana. This is the first time the look of La Mer’s signature Crème de la Mer jar has been changed; “going blue” signifies the brand’s continued commitment to the oceans.
Mad Men's January Jones participated in a World Oceans Day dive and you can view the video of the gorgeous fish and coral reefs if you'd like. Most importantly- treat the ocean/beaches with kindness this summer.

La Mer -The Regenerating Serum

The Regenerating Serum is a worthy new addition to the La Mer line. This new serum has the powerhouse ingredients behind La Mer as well as new ones including The Miracle Broth™, The Regenerating Ferment™, The Marine Peptide Ferment, Colloidal Gold, and Lime Tea.
The Regenerating Ferment alone contains marine plant stem cells from a tenacious plant that grows on the Brittany coast and has been sustainbly harvested and grown in lab for it's resistance to stress.
Serious science has gone into this new product and four years of research. The serum holds 50 patents. I won't distill all the scientific information here as it is very detailed but believe me there's a lot there.
I, like many, love the feel of the original La Mer but it's a bit too rich for my skin. I am all about serums especially in warmer weather and this serum is very light. It gives instant smoothing and softening and leaves a powder soft finish on the skin. It's not overly moisturizing but just enough for us oily skinned ladies or to use under a cream . That smooth finish on the skin makes it a great primer for makeup also.
The Regenerating Serum 1 oz. is $250

La Mer The Hand Treatment

So you think you want perhaps the most luxurious hand treatment lotion ever? Well I have it for you. La Mer's the Hand Treatment.
Yes your hands ( and by the way , there is a body creme as well) can receive the wonder that is La Mer. The hand treat is highly emollient and has the patented Miracle Broth ingredients that come in the face cream. It also is said to have Magnetized Tourmaline that boosts the energizing effects along with a good massage when you rub it in. Now the massage is definitely going to do that for you, but some extra help can't hurt.
This dries fast but leaves behind a soft coating thats stands up to water well, and softens like mad. It stays and works for awhile.
Don't your hands deserve it ?( or maybe your mom's? Would she not LOVE you for this?)
La Mer Hand Treatment is $ 70.00 for 3.4 oz

La Mer for BCA Month

Everyone loves La Mer. Even I love La Mer although most of the time it's too rich for my oily skin. Yes it has hype and I once wondered, is it all that ? It is.
La Mer not only plumps, smooths and moisturizes, it heals burns or cracked noses after a cold. It does it all but repair the car engine.
So if you are a La Mer fan and it's time to stock up or maybe you've been waiting to try it, ( after all it doesn't come with an inexpensive price tag) now is the time. La Mer participates in BCA month by making a donation of $ 30, 000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation . The cream comes in a pink box to mark this month as well.

La Mer Cleansing Gel

One of the wonderful benefits of the semi -annual sniffapaloozas is the great gift bag . The down side is you find many new products that you love, but that are a bit pricey too.
Most samples are fragrance, but we get some skincare and cosmetics thrown in there too. Last time was a very generous sample of La Mer's cleansing gel. Instead of saving it for eons like I do so many samples, (usually until they are too old to use, anyone else do this ?), I decided to use this one quickly.
Yes, I love it. Love it. It removes makeup really well, has a fresh clean scent that is faint, lathers but not too much, and leaves my face feeling nice. No tightness or dryness. Ok it's perfect.
It seems La Mer has been on blog charming mission lately as Blogdorf Goodman raved about the Lip Balm in her year end list, and Makeup Bag loved the Cleansing Foam in a post a few weeks back.
