Sally Hansen + Crayola Insta Dri Glam Rock Nail Polish
I love Sally Hansen's Insta Dri collection. I'm the person who remembers she wanted to paint her nails at 10PM. Regular polish takes too long to dry at that hour, and that's where Insta Dri comes in. It really dries that fast.
Now there is a new Crayola collab , Glam Rock, that has metallic ( my fav) shades . These have lot of pigment and come in 12 fun colors. I have Shimmering Blush and Metallic Seaweed. Both will pop under all our Winter gear , brightening things up a bit.
Sally Hansen Insta Dri Glam Rock are $ 7.99 sugg. retail

Sally Hansen Insta Dri- New Shades
Sally Hansen's Insta Dri has been a fav for a long time due to it's fast drying. I seem to always think of doing my nails at 9 or 10PM on a Sunday , which leaves not enough time for them to set well , usually, with regular polish.
New shades are ready for Spring into Summer and plenty have a pop of bright color we could use to kick start the season. Also the line has been improved with a one day longer wear per the brand and the bottle has gotten a desighn revamp.
I got complements when I wore the bright purple Va Va Violet. I love a good purple and this fits the bill.
With Insta Dri you get full coverage in two coats. While Sally says you don't need a top coat, I think you do, or at least I do. I like max shine and a top coat provides that, along with longer wear generally.
This new formula wore well with minor tip wear after 4 days ( and I am hard on my nails) . One chip came in day 5. Not bad . Faster dry polishes tend to not wear as long , and while that was still the case here, I got the work week out of it.
Shown with Sally's new Big Polish Guards- these band aid like wraps go around your nail area before you paint and keep your fingers free of polish. Especially handy if you're like me and a messy painter. They aren't reusable though, the one drawback. Otherwise, they work really well.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Enchanting Gems
Sally Hansen's Color Therapy line is a favorite here. I have nails that peel easily when polished , they dry out and the argan oil formula really makes a difference in helping my nails hold up better.
For Winter/Holiday the new Enchanting Gems collection is downright gorgeous, especially if like me, you like a little shimmer.
The one to grab is Smoky Emerald. This deep blackened green has a nice but not bold shimmering look on the nail and is darker than in the bottle. I love it.
I also have Brilliant Lapis, a rich , bright blue and Pink Sapphire, an of the season reddish pink that says Holidays and one I will be rocking further into the season.
There are several other colors as well, pearl and amethyst among them, 6 in all.
These are LE and available now.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Top Coat
Sally Hansen's Color Therapy nail polish has become a go to for me . I use it about 75 % of the times I do my nails. With it's oil based moisturizers it keeps my nails in better shape while polished. I also use the nail and cuticle oil. My nails tend to peel very easily and also break if stressed and dry. Polish unfortunately does that to them . But of course I love having my nails done that goes without saying.
While the polish is a staple I hadn't tried the topcoat until last week. I am a huge fan of the brand's Miracle Gel topcoat and use it over all my polishes. But with my nails not in the best shape it was time to try Color Therapy.
I was pleased that wear time for my polish was much the same as with Miracle Gel top coat. It also gave great shine and dried pretty quickly.
The formula has argan oil like the polishes , so it adds another layer of potential moisture and with the nail color's already long wear , my mani stayed great all week.
Sally Hansen Color Therapy Top Coat retail varies but approx. $6.99- 8.99

Sally Hansen Insta Dri x Crayola Collection
Directly inspired by shades of beloved Crayola crayons and sporting the logo on the caps, these new Sally Hansen nail colors bring an extra dose of fun .
I love the Insta Dri formula , it truly dries fast with good color payoff and I rarely allow enough time to do my nails . Using this gets them done quickly and without worrying about smudges ,dings etc. Great for quick polish changes too.
The 12 shades are bold and bright . They are called a Back To School Collection but really they will look great for Summer against bronzed skin and with sandals not to mention a fun distraction for the kids to try out. Crayola speaks to the kid in all of us .
These are available now wherever Sally Hansen is sold.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish
My nails are dry and peel easily. This despite not polishing them all the time and using hand cream. I love polished nails but it wreaks havoc on them.
Sally Hansen's newest formula adds oil to the mix for nail color that is supposed to nourish nails.
I am all for moisturizing my nails while polished. Seems like it might be hard to pull off so I put this to the test and came away pretty pleased with the formula.
The polish takes 3 coats for really total coverage , but 2 can work. I went one day without top coat and got some quick tip wear, not unusual for me, but once I added top coat ( the brand's Miracle Gel) the color and wear lasted 4 days without any dings, at day 5 it started looking more wore at the tips . For me that's good wear time.
My nails definitely felt less dry once it was removed and I've had no peeling after removal. My nails look in good shape, shiny and better than usual after polish removal.
The brand says" Color Therapy nail polish contains a patented micro-delivery system that delivers an argan oil-enriched formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture for healthier-looking nails. The Color Therapy nail polish needs no base coat so the oil complex can directly contact the bare nail."
Color Therapy comes in a wide range of shades, along with top coat, base coat and a nail and cuticle oil that I am loving. The oil leaves a sheen on nails while also adding plenty of moisture. My nails seemed smoother after just a few uses.
Drier nails just got a boost .
Shades shown are : Indiglow, Slicks and Stones and Therapewter.

Sally Hansen ManiMatch App
There's an app for just about everything , right ? How about picking the perfect nail color ? Ever wonder just how navy or dark green nails would look on you or which pink is perfect ? Sally Hansen has got it handled.
Their new ManiMatchTM mobile app allows user to " try on the rainbow of over 200 Sally Hansen nail polish shades in real time, on their nails, before they buy. A simple scan of the user’s hand from any smartphone enables the user to instantly consider and curate her own color choices. There’s no uploading, picture-taking or manual data entry, as the app works in real time. It also generates personalized-for-her-skin-tone color suggestions on demand; using cutting-edge, proprietary technology, the app senses and analyzes the pigments in each user’s hand, then matches its polish-shade suggestions to the ones optimally flattering to her skin".
ManiMatch is available now on Apple and an Android version will be coming soon.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel New Top Coat & Fall Colors
Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel top coat, in my book it is truly a miracle product , has been updated and improved for Fall.
The new version gives nails an even more plumped look than the previous version. I love my original top coat ( if you haven't tried it, it really lengthens nail color wear minus any lamp curing. Go now and get some ) and was happy to give the new one a go, along with some new shades.
I felt the top coat was little bit more volumizing than before. I don't know that it was a big difference but there was a difference. My nails looked great , plumped and shiny.
Two new shades for Fall are Block Party , a creamy tangerine and Totem-ly Yours a beige nude . Block Party comes in a duo pack with color and top coat.
All the new Miracle Gel releases are available now.

Sally Hansen Insta Dri Spring 2015
I love the Insta Dri line from Sally Hansen. That super fast dry time is the best. So many times I decide want to paint my nails late at night or right before I leave for somewhere. No time to dry- Insta Dri to the rescue.
For Spring, not only are there 14 new shades but an improved formula as well. The polish wears long and has more shine. Since wear time is a big issue after dry time, I can get into that.
I tried Set Sail this past week and got 5 days of chip free wear. For me that's great as I can be rough on polish. It applied smoothly without clumps and seems less thick than earlier versions which is good. There was as promised plenty of shine and two coats was perfect opaque coverage.
My other two shades are Cherry Fast and Orange Zest.

Sally Hansen Color Frenzy Nail Polish
Color Frenzy is a fairly new collection from Sally Hansen of fun glitter and texture polishes.
Of the three I have there are varying sizes of glitter or pieces and each goes on a bit differently. Candy Drops is a barely there look while the others are more but still need a couple coats to get all the texture.
These make a fun , easy look or a cool topcoat.
Shown are Candy Drops, Sea Salt and Fruit Spritz .

Sally Hansen Color Foil Nail Polish
Remember when Minx nails first debuted a few years back ? I loved that metallic look but never managed to get a Minx mani. Then brands saw how popular it was and came out with their own super metallic nail products.
Sally Hansen's Color Foil is a new highly metallic line of nail colors, or as they call it " nail makeup".

pink platinum, purple alloy, rose copper, leaden lilac |
These have aluminum leaf to give a gleaming, liquid like finish and have deep pigment. They are meant to be used without a base or top coat to preserve the metal look, but I did use both on my actual nails ( the swatches here are just color) and didn't think they looked a lot less metal than the bare nail test. The top coat did mute the shine a little but bast coat made no difference. Two coats gives full coverage and they applied smoothly .
I love these, they look fantastic on nails . The purple and pink are favorites but rose copper is very pretty as well and I think the Minted Metal shade, which I don't have, would be a good one too.
Sally Hansen Color Foil Nail Makeup are $ 7.99 each
Shades:
Titanium Flush
Pink Platinum
Leaden Lilac
Liquid Gold
Minted Metal
Rose Copper
Purple Alloy
Cobalt Chrome
Yellow Gold
Sterling Silver

Sally Hansen/Prabal Gurung Fall 2013 Nail Colors
Prabal Gurung is about to become a household name thanks to his collab with Target. And it's about time. He's one of the best and each season his show wows. Today was the runway of his RTW collection featuring gorgeous draped silk dresses and the big fall trends so far- black leather and military inspired.
One of the highlights is always the nail look as each season he works with Sally Hansen to create upcoming Complete Salon Manicure shades.
Sally Hansen's Twitter Feed featured these pics showing the new pretties . This fall ( possibly late summer) you'll see military inspired colors shown on these manicures backstage The olive shade is Loden Green and the gold is Coat of Arms . There will also be a navy .
If you are wondering, or missed this Spring's collection , it's blues, blood red and should be out now or soon.

Sally Hansen Pedicure Salon Effects Nail Strips
In yet another of those why didn't they think of this sooner, Sally Hansen has brought us Salon Effects strips for toes to go along with the fab ones for fingers.
The pedicure strips are shaped more for toenails with some very tiny ones for the littlest toes. You get 18 strips so plenty of extra.
I found these actually easier to apply than the ones for fingers , which are pretty simple themselves. For some reason ( diff. formula ??) the pedi ones stick to nails better . Maybe we have less oils on our toes than fingers? No idea but you get even faster , stronger adhesion and they smooth right out.
I have Strike a Pose on my feet now and love it. It's hard to tell from the pics but these actually have a silver background. You'll have to take my word for it since the pictures just weren't working and hey, it's feet.
Just like the finger strips these are a fun way to get nail art on the feet without the salon. I think, too, they'll last far longer than the stated "up to 10 days" as we all know pedi polish always lasts longer.
