butterLONDON Lip Balm, Cream Blush & Eyeliner

butterLONDON's new cosmetic line is officially out  as of August 1st .

The three products I've had a chance to test are pretty,  high quality
cosmetics.

Lippy Tinted Balm ( shown in Toasted Marshmallow) is far more pigmented than many tinted balms. It has medium pigment , with good coverage and a ton of moisture.  Mango seed butter, shea butter, babassu oil, grape seed oil, apricot kernal oil and avoacado oil and butter are all in the ingredients. It makes for a creamy but not slick feel on lips. Perfect anytime but when the weather turns cold and you want color but also hydration against chapping , this is a good choice. $ 20

Cheeky Cream Blush (shown in Honey Pie) is  a light but not sheer formula that's buildable. It's creamy but goes on to a satin  finish and dries fast so no stickiness and no shine. $ 20

Wink Eye Pencil ( Shown in Brown Sugar) is one of the nicest feeling eye pencils I've used and you know, I've tried a few. It just glides with a creamy gel like formula but feels  light. butterLONDON cautions that it sets in 20 seconds for 24 HR wear.  The glide makes it easy to use and I did get all day wear. Not 24HR but nothing will last that long on me, all day is enough to hope for and this did. Pigment is very deep. $ 18

The full line of butterLONDON is available at Ulta and www.butterlondon.com
There are new colored mascaras and eyeshadows that look good as well.

August Silk Sweater Bargain Plus/Regular Size at Macys

I don't share my shopping trips usually and I score some amazing deals so I'm putting this one out there.

Two separate shopping trips to two different Macy's over a 2 week period yielded these August Silk 100 % cotton lightweight sweaters for $ 7.49 each. They were cheap enough and I paid  cash. If I'd used my card I'd have gotten another 20% off.

The fabric is super light but not sheer, they have 3/4 sleeves  and they come in  jewel tones. The one is actually medium coral but seems to be showing more orange in the pic . The other is gorgeous cobalt . They had one in emerald as well but I didn't grab it. If it's still there next trip though I just might. After all the CSA said a Super Saturday sale is next week bringing deeper markdowns. Yes, there's a lot of chaff in those sale racks but the occasional wheat  makes it worth it.

So basically I'm partially set for Fall already. Coral is great for cool late summer nights and early Fall, then next Spring. Cobalt will go all year .

These are in the plus section .Matching cardigans were available as well.
The basic sizes have this silk blend one online only in smaller sizes for  $ 6.99 .
Happy Shopping

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipglass Tint- Kiss Kiss, Gwi-Yo-Mi & Glorious Intent

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipglass Tint is the next gen of Sheen Supreme Lipglass from Spring 2012.

While these are called tints,  they don't seem any lighter than the  older version even though MAC calls them sheerer.  In truth though, I don't remember the original formula super well and don't have one on hand to check beyond my  old post.

Sheen Supreme Lipglass is in case you aren't familiar with them, is a  very moisturizing gloss in a click pen applicator.  They are not super sticky  and have plenty of shine . The eight new shades are definitely more appealing to me, that I can say and I'm going to be wearing Kiss Kiss starting tomorrow .

Kiss Kiss is  a deep peach , almost but not quite coral. It's juicy and sunny.
Glorious Intent is going to be a lovely Fall shade.  This  plum shade has the most pigment of the three I've tried here. Gwi-Yo-Mi is  a bright blue based pink,  that MAC calls mid tone raspberry. This is one of the shades inspired by Asia.

These pack a lot of moisture making them nice to have on hand when the weather cools. Castor oil is one of the first ingredients. Although vanillin is listed I get very little taste/scent from them.

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipglass Tint is  $ 20, LE and available now.
