Gabrielle Chanel Fragrance- First Look

The new Gabrielle fragrance from Chanel is getting closer. It's due to launch in September and I can't wait to smell it .

Right now we have images of the bottle and a scent description . I am all over the tuberose note.  The perfume sounds very white floral and feminine.

Chanel calls the fragrance " A passionate floral featuring four key white flowers
that radiate throughout — Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Ylang-Ylang and for the first time in a new Chanel scent, Grasse Tuberose.

Available on Chanel.com in August and department and specialty stores in September.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Cleanser- Detox Brightener

When Summer rolls around, or even Spring for that matter, the oil in my skin starts to ramp up.  Plus it gets hot and humid. I am always ready for a good cleanser to get all the grime and grease off . I need something tough but I also don't want something that will strip or dry out my skin.  As I get older I need to find the balance between deep cleansing and good skincare.

This new Pure Clay Cleanser from L'Oreal seems to be meeting both those things. It gets my skin clean including pores, wipes off all the makeup and oil but leaves skin feeling soft and smooth .

The clay is  a gel to mousse  mousse out of the tube and a little is all you need. It foams and expands some, rinses clean and has a nice  green tea like scent. Charcoal powder is an ingredient but you don't get that harsh smell, thankfully.

There are two other varieties in the Pure Clay Cleanser line , one with red algae, the other eucalyptus.

If you're normal to oily and  your skin is feeling the heat , these are well worth a try.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Cleansers are $ 6.99

Sweat Cosmetics Mineral Foundation

Easy to use , long wear and mineral powder based, that's Sweat Cosmetics Mineral Foundation, developed by pro and Olympic level athletes. While I am not the most active person, I still sweat , am oily and wear makeup off fast so this might just be for me.
The loose powder foundation comes in a small tub and that tub gets placed inside the twist up brush tube.  It has an end cap making it very portable.  And that's the idea, for those on the go , whether travel or active, this can be carried , used and put away very easily .

The foundation itself is a nice, finely milled powder that looks and feels light on skin.  There is no oil or moisturizers . It has good coverage , medium  I would say  with a smooth, perfected look due to the powder.  It also gives skin just a touch of a glow.  It is  buildable too, with the brand's instructions saying two applications are best.

I found this covered and filled my pores really well, which is something I really need and look for.  It wore well, all day without fading and  light oil breakthrough on the T Zone.  I haven't tested it in water yet or a lot of sweat,  but it is said to be 80 minute water resistant .

It has SPF with zinc oxide  at 16.0 %  so it makes a very effective sunscreen too .  No white cast, no heaviness. Touch ups during the day over makeup are something I sometimes use it for instead of my pressed matte powders.

The brush attached to this is not bad, but it's not the best. It's not as soft as it could be , not stiff  just not great.   You could use your own brush for times when you are home and have one handy.

This is refillable also, with the small tubs being sold individually along with the full kit.

Sweat Cosmetics Mineral Foundation is $ 42 and comes in 5 shades.
Refills are $ 24 . Both at Sephora

Sally Hansen Insta Dri x Crayola Collection

Directly inspired by shades of beloved Crayola crayons and sporting the logo on the caps,  these new Sally Hansen nail colors bring an extra dose of fun .

I love the Insta Dri formula , it truly dries fast with good color payoff and I rarely allow enough time to do my nails  . Using this gets them done quickly and without worrying about smudges ,dings etc.  Great for quick polish changes too.

The 12 shades are bold and bright . They are called a Back To School Collection  but really they will look great for Summer against bronzed skin and with sandals not to mention a fun distraction for the kids to try out. Crayola speaks to the kid in all of us .

These are available now wherever Sally Hansen is sold.
