It's matte season. The dewpoint has already been super high here and that means even more shiny skin for us oilier gals.
Cover Girl has new Clean Matte Oil Control ( new look and updated formula) ready to go in foundation and pressed powder.
The foundation is light feeling and light/ medium coverage . It helps cover pores nicely, and while matte, it isn't chalky or dry. It sets to a perfected , soft finish. It lasted well for most of the day except the T Zone. No surprise there. I had a fair amount of breakdown by noon on my nose.
Of course that's where the powder touch up can come in. This is a seriously matte powder and on the drier side. It instantly totally mattes but adds only a little coverage . It also feels light on skin, not cakey and while dry sets nicely over the foundation , whether the new CG or another .
Shade wise these light, the 505 Ivory is truly light and the other I have 525 Buff Beige is actually perfect for my skintone which is fair but not the palest. The powders are 510 Classic Ivory and 525, and again 525 is just right for me . Once I get a little more color I would probably need to go even darker. So pale gals know you should be able to find a match here. I haven't seen the full shade list, so can't speak to how dark the shade choice goes.
