New lippie alert - It Cosmetics  recently launched Pillow Lips lipsticks. 

These are what I am calling old school lipstick. They've got full  coverage and  rich saturation in one swipe.  Each shade is available in Matte and Cream formula. I am not a matte fan for the most part, so I went with all Cream colors. 

Vision, marvelous, wish list ,fanciful, humble

The bullet here is firm but not hard as the formula is lightly moisturizing and creamy with a not quite satin , more semi matte finish with one,   Marvelous, being a pearl.  It does drag a bit on application and you think it'll be patchy but it's not. They blend and smoothes out easily and fast with a smush of your lips.

With lanolin ,sesame seed, jojoba and peppermint oils and shea butter they feel very comfy on and have is a light scent but no taste of peppermint. I've been wearing one the past couple days and not only do I love the full quick color but they last really well. I went from 7:30 to 10:30AM including drinking and eating a snack bar with very little wear. By lunchtime I still had a stain left.  

It  has done a fabulous job with the cases here too. Weighty and ceramic like with an embossed quilted pattern , and a solid silver tube with the brand name etched across the bottom.  A little modern and very chic .

There's a new primer in town from IT Cosmetics . 

Your Skin But Better Primer is oil free & helps makeup stay put with what the brand calls " All Day Grip Technology " . With my makeup melt issues that sounded good . 

The first thing I noticed is that it's a clear primer. Most primers I've used are milky or tinted. It's a totally clear and a thin formula that layers on skin easily with a barely there feel. Not silicone-y, or greasy. It sinks in fast & adds a small amount of moisture. For me with my oilier skin in Summer it was just right in the moisture department , enough but nothing heavy. It also smooths out skin nicely and does fill pores a little . Skin looks more prepped and ready for makeup.  

Overall I find this to be a nice base layer and my makeup has held up well using this so far. It's not a huge difference (again I have big makeup melt issues, I can wear off almost anything) but there is a  difference. Midday everything still looks in place and by evening makeup was faded a little but not that much.   

I really like that's it's so light you don't even notice it yet it works.

IT Cosmetics Honey Je Ne Sais Quoi Lip Treatment

The Je Ne Sais Quoi  Lip Treatment Balm is one of It Cosmetics star products. While the original and rose give pink tones to lip , those of us who love a nude lip now have one of our own.

Honey is the newest shade and it's a sheer wash of warm beige. Like the others it has "Vitality Lip Flush Technology™ " that reacts with your own lips chemistry to form the shade. It reads nude on my lips but a pinkened nude beige. 

The formula is moisturizing although not heavy moisture , is creamy and smooth on lips and has a little sheen to it. No shimmer but it's not flat matte. There are several oils and peptides in the ingredients to help condition lips . 

This is a great addition to my Summer lip wardrobe. I don't always use a lot of balms this time of year but I also have so few that are nude so could be why.  It falls into that easy, grab and go kind of makeup we all need some days.

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Foundation

IT Cosmetics Spring launches have landed and as always they are really good.

There's a new foundation, Confidence  In A Foundation and we all know IT gives good face.

Confidence in A Foundation is full coverage, very full coverage. This will cover most any spots, blemishes, etc. It's a bit thick out of the bottle but it doesn't feel that way once applied. It feels light and breathable on skin .

Moisturize , as you usually would and you may feel you want to blend and sheer it out with a blender or IT's neat new angled brush that's made for applying foundation and getting into our face's contours, curves and angles. I mostly use fingers , and for me that works .

The formula is a radiant matte. It's matte but doesn't look  flat and gives you a bit of a non shimmering glow. There are no iridescent particles that I can see, but you look brightened.  It also hasn't seemed to settle into any lines or creases but I do get oil breakthrough on my nose midday , more so that with other mattes.   It's said to have long lasting hydration features built in with hyaluronic acid, squalene  and glycerin. It can feel a little dry at first so you'll want to moisturize accordingly but the hydration factor kicks in pretty quick on my combo skin  and ends being quite moisturizing for a matte formula.

There are 48 wide ranging shades to choose from and other good for skin ingredients include aloe juice, ceramides, licorice root extract and colloidal oatmeal.

I especially love the brush sets , because,well you have tried their brushes right ? So, so soft.   I have to run my hands over the display every time I go to Ulta.

It's the time to flash the red , white and blue , stars and stripes and all that . It Cosmetics has their own  cute way to get in the spirit with the new Superstar Flawless Foundation Brush.

Yes this is a star shaped brush and you might think will this work ?  It does. Those points  reach into the corners and contours of your face that a rounder one may not be able to.   And it has a holographic handle.  What's not to love ?

The bristles are dense, but still uber soft as all IT brushes are  ( I am the only one who wants to pet the display as I walk by it in Ulta ?) . The clear part of the handle is just shy of 4 inches long.

 Summer and  bronzer  go together like pie and apple  and IT Cosmetics has one that will see to most of your glow getting needs.

Bye Bye Pores Bronzer adds to their well loved Bye Bye Pores line that uses the brand's  Optical Blurring Technology.  I'm good with anything that helps reduce the look of my huge pores or adds smoothness to my face. 

The new bronzer is a medium shade that should work for most skintones. It looks fine on my pale self and blends well. It's not muddy , overly dark , orange-y or loaded with shimmer. Leave it to IT to come out with a Micellar that's more than a Micellar.  Nothing basic for this brand.

Their new Miracle Water is a cleansing micellar but also contains their Secret Sauce™ Fermented Complex, which is a combination of 7 penetration-enhancing fermented ingredients. These help skin absorb moisturizers and serums better .
