Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Retinoid Peptide Serum
For me, I think of Winter as whip skin in shape season. Not that I 'm not always caring for it but I can hit the harder stuff now without worrying about as much sun exposure interaction, sweat and extra oiliness . Perfect for this new high powered serum from Peter Thomas Roth.
Pro Strengh Retinoid Peptide Serum packs 10% granactive retinoid and 5 % hexapeptide complex. Me, I'm here for the retinol .While I've tried many retinol products in the past this is the strongest so far although I'd been wanting to use a super strong one .
It didn't take too long to begin to notice a difference , 10 days or so. Skin looked smoother , plumper, brightened, more clarity with a little lightening of spots . I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and I love what it's doing for my skin. I stopped for almost a week, not because of any issues but just using other things , busy etc. and within a few days I noticed the difference. I looked more dull.
My skin tolerates strong actives well so I haven't had any irritiation or super dryness with this. My skin just gets a little drier. It's normal/oily so over drying right now isn't a problem. I haven't used it every night in a row. Sometimes 2-3 nights then off for a day, sometimes 2 nights then off. The off nights I'll use a moisturizing serum or cream and I do use a hydrating creamy moisturizer with SPF during the day. It does have squalene and a lipid complex to help moisturize some and the thin liquid does have a little slip to it before it sets into skin ( that doesn't take long, btw ). Also, you use a dropper and you do not need a lot. As I said it's thin with slip so use sparingly.
Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Retinoid Peptide Serum is $ 110 for 1 oz

Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral Rich Eye Cream
I love a good eye cream, I've said that many times. My eye area gets dry and I'm all about keeping it taken care of. I' also a big fab of Peter Thomas Roth skincare so we've got a winner here in his new Hungarian Thermal Water Eye Cream.
This rich cream feels luxe and soothing on the eyes , adds plenty of moisture and smoothes the area out a little but isn't heavy or overly greasy. It's whipped feeling cream that blends in well. I use it mainly at night but The Mom has swiped the jar and she uses it am and pm and finds it works nicely under makeup too. She appreciate a good eye cream too.
Ingredients include caffeine, ceramides, micro algae , sea buckthorn berry and arnica flower extracts, sunflower, linseed and evening primrose oils.
PTR has done it again , this is worthy addition to your skincare routine.
Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral Rich Eye Cream is $ 46 at Peter Thomas Roth.com and Macys.

Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Power Eye Cream
I am a big fan of Peter Thomas Roth's serum and face creams. Their Camu Camu Power C line and Potent C Power Serum have been fabulous for my skin. This Summer Potent C Power Eye Cream came on board.
This mid weight cream packs 10 % C THD Ascorbate ( a stable vitamin c that's 50 times more powerful than traditonal C acc to the brand) for max brightening power along with 3% vitamin E and 2% Ferulic Acid, caffeine shea butter, olive fruit oil and hyaluronic acid .
The eye cream gives you medium moisture, a little firming /tightening and feels lightweight on . I do feel my undereye is well hydrated with this as well as keeping it brighter. Thankfully I don't have much in the way of dark circles so I can't speak to that but I do feel as though I've had some brightening along with a bit more firmed up , toned skin. I'll take it.
Since it isn't a heavy moisturizer this is great for daytime under makeup and at night and will transition nicely into Fall skincare.

Peter Thomas Roth Max Mineral Naked SPF 45 Protective Lotion
The second of the two new Peter Thomas Roth face products I've been trying is
Max Mineral Naked SPF 45 Protective Lotion.
The name gives you a clue , it's a lightweight mineral based sunscreen for the face. This has sheer ,light , non white , coverage that does perfect a little with high protection physical SPF of 45 making it a great base layer under makeup or used on it's own. It adds light moisture. Enough for my normal to oily skin in this heat. If you are drier you'll want a serum or cream underneath.

The lotion has a barely there tint that blends quickly in. For me it's not enough to wear alone as I like a good bit of coverage but it's worked really well under my foundation. If you're more into a no makeup look or a tinted base , it does that too. This is one of those really works, easy to use , daily products to add to your Summer routine.
Ingredients include Vitamins A, C and E , Safflower seed oil with 1.93 % titanium dioxide and 19.24 % zinc oxide for sun protection.
Peter Thomas Roth Max Mineral Naked SPF 45 Protective Lotion is $ 38 for 1.7 oz tube at Peter Thomas Roth, Sephora , Macys and Ulta.

Peter Thomas Roth Skin To Die For Mineral Matte CC Cream SPF 30
Peter Thomas Roth makes some of my favorite skincare and for Summer there are several great new launches to help us keep our skin protected and cared for this season.
First up is the new Skin To Die For Mineral Matte CC Cream. We don't see nearly enough matte CCs and this is perfect those of us who are more oily but still want to use a CC, BB or perfecting primer.
Mineral Matte CC has good medium coverage that perfects ( it has light scattering optics) and smoothes. It is a thicker cream but not too thick and blends well. It is a breathable , comfy matte. Not super dry , not heavy , chalky or cakey and it doesn't settle into lines so it can be used by all ages, in my opinion. The Mom loves this one too.
The coverage along with the matte finish , physical SPF 30 and other good for skin ingredients make this a no brainer for days when the heat is on and you want a lighter, less makeup look or to wear by itself all the time if you don't use foundation.
Ingredients include high potency THD ascorbate vitamin C , glycerin which adds light hydration and kaolin to absorb oil.
Paired up with the brand's also good Skin To Die For Mattifying Primer and us oilies are good to go.
Peter Thomas Roth Skin To Die For Mineral Matte CC Cream SPF 30 comes in three shades( shown in Medium) and is $ 38 at Sephora
**Also shown is new Max Mineral Naked SPF to be covered in a separate post soon.

Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Power Serum
Now there is the new Potent C Power Serum with 20 % C-THD ascorbate (said to be 50% more powerful than traditional Vitamin C ) , 3% E antioxidant and 2% ferulic acid. What strikes me first about the serum is it's one of the most moisturizing serums I've used. Serums are often, but not always, lighter and less hydrating. One reason I like them so much. Potent C packs hydration. I was worried it might be too much for my skin, but it hasn't been at all. I will say don't need any other moisturizer with it though. If you have drier skin, you may feel you need one.
The serum itself is semi light , lotion like almost. It works in well, but needs a little time and there is a bit of a tacky feeling for a half hour or so while it totally sinks in.
With 2 weeks of use , I've seen a little brightening ( and that can take time) but my skin texture has definitely gotten better , it's smoother, plumper, well moisturized and a bit firmer. This is very much a do it all product in that if you have oily to normal skin , you can get all your moisture from this as well as anti -aging properties in one bottle.
The bottle is opaque and thick walled so it will keep the serum protected from light which is important.
You can't go wrong with PTR and this is another winner.
Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Power Serum is $ 95 for 1 oz bottle .

Peter Thomas Roth Skin To Die For Mattifying Primer
I'm all in when it cone to mattifying pore reducing primers. My pores are huge and my nose and chin very oily. Much of my morning routine is spent trying to minimize them.
Peter Thomas Roth's new Skin To Die For Mattifying Primer really gets the job done and is one of the best I've used. It has a slight, sheer tint and smoothes right into skin and over pores with a blurring effect making it a bit of a multitasker. There's a definite difference in before and after use. The primer also kept oil well in check through the morning. A light touch of powder was needed at lunchtime, which is generally a must for me no matter what I use. But a very light bit of was all I needed, less than usual.
The formula uses the brand's Evermat to help keep oil at bay and reduce pores along with Disa-Pore 20. It's very light on skin, not dry and can be used alone if you prefer no makeup or under your foundation/powder.
This would work for all but dry skins I think. Oily obviously, but normal to slightly dry also, as it's blurring and filling applies to more than pores.
Peter Thomas Roth Skin To Die For No Filter Mattifying Primer is $ 28 at Ulta, Sephora , Macys and more.

Peter Thomas Roth Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra Gel Eye Patches
Eyes need all the love they can get . I use eye cream every day but I've not done any eye masks or gels until now. I had to try the new eye gel patches from Peter Thomas Roth.
These have everything in them you could want to throw at your weary eyes. glycerin, collagen, hyaluronic acid, caffiene, shea butter , liocrice root extract, aneglica root extract, sesame seed extract aloe leaf juice, castor seed oil, and a few more root extracts.
The patches are thin and tear easily, a spatula is enclosed to lift them out with. Once out of the jar set it onto your eye area. They can be applied teardrop point up or down depending on what part of eye you want to concentrate on. They are loaded with serum so are very slippery. Once on leave for 10-15 minutes. One side did slip a little but I pushed it back into place.
They feel cooling right off and after a few minutes on, my under eye started feeling tightened and firmed. After using the area well hydrated and stayed that way until the AM. My skin felt very soft in the morning , softer than usual and seemed lightly smoothed. After you take them off, gently rub in the leftover serum.
Peter Thomas Roth Hylaluronic Cloud Hydra Gel Patches are $ 52 for 30 pair jar.

Peter Thomas Roth Pure Luxury 24K Gold Lift & Firm Prism Cream
Peter Thomas Roth's 24K Gold Lift & Firm Prism Cream is a neat new launch that is most like a CC /Highlighting Cream.
This cream/gel comes out of the tube a true gold shimmer. Do not be afraid, it blends down well and leaves behind a slight sheen with a little shimmer but nothing like the initial drop might have you think. It's not too much but instead enough to perk you and your skin right up and give a little glow.
This looks great on skin or should I say makes skin look great? Not only do you get that little glow but it's very hydrating so skin looks well moisturized and smooth . Under makeup you can't really tell it's there , it's you but with more radiance. It works as a primer , or on it's own and as we get closer to Summer and start using bronzer or self tanner., it will really complement them.
Ingredients include glycerin, hyaluronic acid, avocado oil and jojoba esters along with actual collodial gold along with shade sensing spheres that adjust to all skintones and help diffuse light. It can be used all over or as a highlight on areas of the face like cheek and browbones or the decollete area.
Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Lift & Firm Prism Cream is $ 42

Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Power C Sleeping Mask
Skin repairs itself while you sleep. So we use creams and serums to help our skin look it's best. Something new are overnight masks. Sleep masks , the skincare kind, not the satin or velvet kind .
Peter Thomas Roth has taken his own wonderful Camu Camu formula ( the Power C Cream is a big fav of mine ) and created an overnight treatment mask.
Don't think about a mask you've used before, like clay ones we wash off. This is meant to stay on overnight. While you feel it more on your skin than a regular cream , it's really lightweight on . I get a little tight/firming feel after application and with a few minutes it's sunk in and is off and running to brighten and moisturize while I get my zzzzs. That's my kind of multitasking.
The mask comes in the same type of opaque, sealed container as the cream and serum to keep the Vitamin C stabilized. You pump out what you need and apply a layer on skin. That's it. In the AM wash as usual .
Avocado oil, hyaluronic acid , aloe leaf juice and soluble collagen are in there to hydrate while the Camu Camu fruit extract provides 30 times more Vitamin C than an orange.
I've had good results in the brightening area with the corresponding cream and with use of the mask I felt skin was well hydrated , plumped and firmed but only a little brightened. Now it's only been a couple uses. Like anything more use makes for more results and it's lovely for these winter temps so I'll be using it again.
Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Power C Sleeping Mask is $ 62 for 3.4 oz

Peter Thomas Roth Camu Camu Power C Moisturizer
In winter , Peter Thomas Roth products have been among my go to's. For the past two years it was Retinol Fusion AM & PM. They were, and are wonderful. But there is always new to try out and brightening is at the top of to do list after summer so I was looking to try the brand's newest Camu Camu Power C Cream.
Camu Camu is am Amazonian Berry and superfruit that is said to provide 30 times more Vitamin C per ounce than an orange.
This cream is a thick formula but not too heavy for my oilier skin, which is more normal in the cooler temps. I was afraid it might be too much at first but it hasn't been at all. It absorbs quickly and smells amazing, very orange/citrus. I've been using it for a week, so not a long test period overall, but enough to see some definite improvement.
My skin is brighter , softer , and clearer if you get what I mean. It looks smoother as well. Now mind you , my skin is generally in good shape but I do have some hyperpigmentation from summer and summers past even though I work the SPF. I am seeing this fade more.
Ingredients besides Camu Camu include Avocado Oil, Lactic Acid, Vitamins A & E, Ginger, Lemon Peel and Grape Seed extracts.
The container has a push down top, where you get a small amount of cream with each push and keep the rest away from light and fingers, and is 1.7 oz. There is also a serum.
$72 at Sephora
