Jo Loves Fragrance Grafitti Body Spray

Jo Loves from Jo Malone is doing something a little different with their new line Fragrance Grafitti.

The fragrances come in a fun spray paint aerosol type bottle complete with a ball bearing in it that rattles when you shake it. (They are colorless, in case you were wondering)  I love the unique-ness here. It's  fun, and luxe body sprays seem to be a "thing" right now .  Most importantly , the scent is good.

Grapefruit is a masculine grapefruit. Dry, cool, not very sweet and touched by a little  green and herbs to my nose, that reminds of vetiver. It's fairly straightforward, easy to wear and unisex. The scent is light  but more than barely there and I got a few hours out if before it began to fade.  Sillage is light to medium. Not bad for a body spray. And the can makes for easy re- application over the course of the day or night .

The sprays comes in 4 scents- tuberose, grapefruit,  fig and vetiver . I really need to get the tuberose one.

Jo Malone Sugar and Spice

The new collection from Jo Malone is Sugar and Spice . Much like the tea series of a couple years back there are 5 fragrances all with a gourmand touch  and a reference to a sweet treat.

While I haven't yet tried these and tend not to go for gourmands , these certainly look cute.  My friend in fragrance ,The Minx , had a chance to sniff them at her local Nordstrom , and found them nice enough but not strikingly unique . I wonder if the Bitter Orange and Chocolate will be at all like the late, lamented Fleurs de chocolat chocolate orange products from Fresh ?

Jo Malone Tea Fragrance Blends

Ready for a spot of  tea ?  Jo Malone tea , that is, and tea scents to be exact.

Tea consists of 5  new tea inspired colognes to be worn on their own or to layer as the brand likes to encourage with all it's fragrances.  

As a tea drinker/fan as well as perfume enthusiast , naturally I was drawn to these.  They are all light , fresh and a bit reviving, like a good spot of tea should be.  Personal favorites are Fresh Mint Leaf Cologne and Earl Grey and Cucumber . The exact opposite of what I assumed my favorites would be by simply reading the descriptions. ( I tried all but the Sweet Milk. )

Assam & Grapefruit-  Reminds me more of white tea than black ,but it veers back and forth between more tea smelling and the sweeter grapefruit note.   As it dries down the cool cardamom comes in mixing with the citrus and adding some spice. 

Sweet Lemon- Is  the deceiving one as it's not very lemon at all but very vetiver and cypress. It's green and probably the strongest of the group. I tried layering this over Assam but the power of the vetiver was what came through.  Very unisex and one for the green note lovers out there.

Fresh Mint Leaf- Bracing, a wakeup  or eye-opener of a scent.  Strong notes of spearmint with a hint of sweetness and very mint tea like. I liked this far more then I expected. I don't find myself drawn to mint notes , but when I tried this, I  loved  it's fresh prettiness. I seriously couldn't stop sniffing my hand.  So if you like mint, then this will be a winner.

Earl Grey & Cucumber- Starts off with  beautiful bergamot as would be expected. Earl Grey, the tea, is deliciously fragrant and this is very reminding of a soft  version of that in the beginning. It's dry scent  which then gets a hit of vanilla  as well as the cucumber which I only detected a little.

Jo Malone Vitamin E Hand Cream & Orange Blossom Cologne

I am happy to have 2 Jo Malone products to rave about. I had previously sampled 2 very popular fragrances Grapefruit and Pomegranite noir and they were just not me.

Recently I got samples of both the new Vitamin E Hand Cream and Orange Blossom cologne. Now I see what makes this line so loved.

The Hand Cream- Very moisturizing and very quick absorbing, I have been trying to make my small samples last . This has very little scent , so will not interfere with fragrance, but gets the job done. You can apply any time, and then go abut what you need to do, no greasy hands. An elegant way to keep your hands looking the best .

Vitamin E Hand Cream retails for 40.00 for 100ml( 3. 4 oz)

Orange Blossom Cologne- This is tart and zingy, then beautful orange flower blossoms and lily. A citrus floral that is really all seasons but will be especially nice in the warmer weather. It being a cologne ,you can be a bit freer with applying and re- applying. It's a very uplifing scent that also comes in candles and bath products. The fragrance of this would be welcome in any of those. The candle must be wonderful.

After I use my samples up, I would definitely consider a purchase. So far, the best Orange Blossom I have tried.

It's not too early to think about Mother's Day, and these would make a great gift.
