Peter Thomas Roth UnWrinkle Powder

When the info for this new powder from Peter Thomas Roth skincare showed up, I have to admit I was skeptical. That a rarity for me. Loving beauty products the way I do, even when something promises far more than you know it could deliver , or has some weird process to how it's made, I am ready to try it and think the best. Until, that is, the words: SYN-AKE – a synthetic neuropeptide that mimics the wrinkle relaxing properties of snake venom from the Brazilian Viper, were used. Snake Venom -ish ????? Ohh-Kay.

So I had to try it. I have almost no wrinkles to relax, but am a powder lover, the mom on the other hand, has the fear of powder, and never uses it. Perhaps this would work for her.

I wasn't even sure I wanted to try it but I am glad I did, because we loved it . Ok, I don't know that wrinkles really relaxed, but it did make the skin look really good. It was applied over foundation about mid way through the day. I put some on, and walked away. later, getting ready to go out, looked in the mirror and was impressed with how smooth and finished my skin looked . I was not expecting that.

The powder really smoothes the skin for more flawless finish, and worked for both me and the mom. It also is not your usual translucent dust of finish. The powder has a bit of texture, and it gives almost medium coverage. No settling into lines at all.

For drier skin gals or those with more " mature" skin, this just may be your powder. This helps to retain moisture in the skin as opposed to drying, and has anti-aging petides and neuropeptides.

A fun bonus- in the new Get Smart movie, Agent 99 uses this compact and powder as a laser detecter in one scene.

UnWrinkle sells for $ 35.00 and will be available June 20th on QVC.com
