Cover Girl Clean Whipped Creme Foundation

Cover Girl's new Clean Whipped Creme foundation has been one of those pleasant makeup surprises. I have to say when I first got it , while I was very into many of the other new Cover Girl Summer items like Glosstinis and Smoochies, I didn't expect the new foundation to be for me.  While mass market foundations have gotten better and better, 80-90 % of the time I am all for higher end ones.

So surprised am I that while I thought Whipped Creme  would be light coverage , it's actually very good, medium coverage. It's also matte and let's face it matte foundations at the  drugstore level are thin on the ground. ( It would have helped immensely I admit if I'd read the press info before trying , then I'd have known this. )

Meant for combo or oily skin , this foundation is what Cover Girl calls "Air Whipped" and is light but substantial in the pot. It goes on easily and covers really well, instantly smoothing skin and matting it but without making it look flat. There is no dryness on skin either. Cover Girl made sure to add lightly hydrating ingredients to keep skin supple but matted.  My skin looked good after using this even with my test color being  a couple shades too deep for my skin. I like it so much that I am going to try &  work the color anyway.

Speaking of that, while my shade is deep into the shade range and normally way too dark in the range for me, this is not . It's only slightly too dark. Keep that in mind, that possibly the shades run light. I haven't seen the rest to know for sure. Normally I'd be probably be 320.

There are 10 shades in all for light to dark skin :

Ivory (305)
Classic Ivory (310)
Creamy Natural (320)
Buff Beige (325)
Natural Beige (340)
Medium Beige (342)
Creamy Beige (350)
Soft Honey (355)
Classic Tan (360)
Tawny (365)
