Lush Combats the Oil

Lush has given us two new products to help with oily, acne prone skin.

First up is the cleanser Dark Angels( no relation to the 90s TV show). This is a grainy scrub that is truly black. You will have black on your hands and little pieces may go flying on your sink. It smells kind of like licorice and does a nice job of cleansing without drying the skin out. Key ingredients are : anti- bacterial Rhassoul mud straight from Morocco, powdered charcoal to absorb oil as it gives you a good scrub, and soothing rosewood and sandalwood essential oils to keep your skin soft.

Dark Angels is old by weight and 1/4 lb. is $ 11.95

Grease Lightning Spot Treatment is the second product. A gel in a pump bottle,. this is meant to put on oily areas, or spot treat acne. It uses witch hazel, tea tree oil, thyme, rosemary, lavender oil ( helps regulate oil secretion) and aloe vera gel. I find that this is very gentle and non drying. I actually wish it were stronger. It did good on the T- zone helping clear up small blemishes and cuts the oil as soon as you tap it on. It also functions as a cleanser , and can be dabbed on anytime throughtout the day.

Grease Lightning sells for $ 9.95 for 1.5 oz

Both of these products are great for men too. There are plenty of men struggling with oily skin and these are not girly in any way.

I'm a lush advocate, and I especially love their Fresh Farmacy and Breathe of Fresh Air.

It always smells so, comforting. Like a really earthy smell.
