L'Oreal Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5

It's great to see mass market brands doing more and more lines to help damaged hair.

Like the lady I recently advised on haircare who works at the post office . She  asked me what to use for her dry/frizzy hair, and admitted what she used probably made the problem worse.  I run into this a lot. What was she using? Dollar store shampoo ? She  didn't say what , but yeesh. As I told her there are so many good choices out there now at good price points.

New to the shelves is the Advanced Haircare line from L'Oreal. There are 5 mini lines including treatment products to address problems with hair- dryness, breakage, color care and more. They all use Arginine K complex, an amino acid  for hair health .

Total Repair 5 is  Restoring for hair that needs strengthened, has split ends, is dull and needs moisture. While I don't fit all those , I do need a little more care in my hair than I used too and I have been having some  breakage.

Using both the shampoo and conditioner gave me very soft but not limp hair. It had loads of body and actually seemed a bit thicker.  I could see where with continued use , hair would be whipped into better shape. You only need a  small amount of the shampoo , less than I usually use .

Total Repair 5 also has a Multi Restorative Dry Oil Spray and Damage Erasing Balm.  I love dry oils for body but was wary on hair. No oil on my hair in general but this is super dry and when I used it on a couple drier spots it soaked right in with no greasy look.

The full L'Oreal Advanced Haircare line is in stores now.

Shampoo/Conditioner is $ 4.99 for 12 .6 oz
Treatment prices are $ 6.99 each, varying sizes
