Want super high pigment in your lipstick ? Look no further than Shiseido's new Lacquer Rouge.
Nocturne |
The pigment here is intense and if you are looking to do fall's bold lip but don't want to go matte, this is a great choice. Lacquer Rouge goes on glossy but after about 5 minutes it dries some and sets to a semi gloss finish. Still glossy but less so and not matte. There is some shimmer as well. You only need one coat for full color.
The color range goes from deep red Nocturne to the pink brown Savage to Blaze, a fiery yellow orange . Blaze is Shiseido's Artistic Director and makeup genius, Dick Page's favorite and mine as well. He likes it because it looks good on lots of different women. Can I tell you how I love having something in common with Mr. Page ?
The high pigment and they way they set makes these long lasting as well. One thing I do notice is that they can do what some mattes do, and not cover the inside of the lip area. I have blended them in more with my finger and also make sure to get the wand inside the lip area more when applying.
Lacquer Rouge is also moisturizing with emollients to keep lips hydrated, and go on creamy.
Note also that during October Shiseido will donate $5 from the sale of every Lacquer Rouge in Disco to Cosmetic Executive Women's Cancer and Careers Foundation.
$25 at Shiseido and Sephora
